Is there really any advantage to attending Brentwood Academy rather than BHS or RHS? I'm not trying to stir up anything - just curious as to what BA has to offer that BHS/RHS doesn't have. I once heard Dave Ramsey say he sent his kids to Williamson County public schools due to they were as good as the private schools (or something to that affect).

The advantage for most who attend there is the Christian aspect of the education.
The school is smaller, the classes are smaller. The kids and parents really bond and get to know each other.
There is no academic advantage to attending BA, though. BHS offers more classes and more extracurricular opportunities, including more AP classes.
Brentwood High is the highest-ranked non-magnet school in TN, according to US News & World report.

I'd rather send my kids to BHS, take them to church myself, and pocket the $18K each year.

The real advantage is becoming part of the old boy network.

This is not true. There are many more "outsiders" whose kids go there than there used to be. Lots more transplants now that have diluted the network.
The real network goes to BHS.

I would rather send my kids to a small Christian School in Brentwood or Franklin but the tuition is simply out of reach in this town.
