I just don't think that is right for Mechelle to sell the restaurant. Doesn't she want to keep a business open in the rememberance of her latee husband, if not just for the sake of having his memory remain in Nashville in the form of the restaurant.
Steve McNair and some of the teammates he had on the Titans when he played have done so much for the city of Nashville. I was just thinking about the Music City Miracle in which Mr McNair was a part of the team then. Since then look at their records and all standings in the NFL.
Also the co-owner of the GridIron 9, does he not have a say at all about the selling of the restaurant?? Looks like the city of Nashville has already done the "mind-making" for him.
I just don't think that's right, really That's Messed Up.

Please WTVF, NO MORE postings for "news" about McNair. I'm so sick of hearing about him. Contrary to popular belief, he was not a great guy and a terrible role model for kids (unless you feel adultery and fornication is acceptable). News Channel 5 has done more than anybody in Nashville (at least that I know of) to sing McNair's praises and I, for one, wish his name would cease appearing in the news. Because somebody can throw a ball does not make them a hero. Why don't you all do a news article about Nashville's New Song Kids Ministry, or Nashville's Mustard Seed Outreach Ministries?

I second Mike's request and agree with all he has to say. By idolizing someone for playing a sport when their personal life is so messed up is NOT what I want my child to see as "acceptable" behavior just because you are successful or have money. There are thousands of people around Nashville that are true heroes because they have truly made somebody's life better. Come on Nashville let's honor those who really deserve it.

I agree with Shawn and Mike. And Lee I can't really blame Mechelle for wanting to cut ties with Nashville. I would find it hard to be here. If I were her though I would have sold Steve's share of the place to the partner and left it at that.

Why would she want to run a restaurant in the hood with an ex-con as a partner?

She deserves the money for putting up with his dirtbag ways.

I, like many Nashvillian's, was a fan of Steve McNair. I actually met him when they first came to town and were still known as the Oilers. A career, in my opinion, doesn't define a person's character. I was shocked to learn about his death, but in the days that have since followed, to also learn the circumstances surrounding it, I am appalled by him. I completely understand the embarrassment Mechelle has to be feeling from the media airing the "dirty laundry" in her marriage. My heart goes out to her, not only as a woman, but as a human being. And I agree with Mike, this man is not an example for children or anyone else to live by, so stop talking about him already. Steve was a great FOOTBALL PLAYER and that is it! When it came down to being a decent, upstanding man, he fell very, very short there!

Oh please give me a break, You people never cease to amaze me. Everybody fells so sorry for Mechelle and what she has went through, She knew Steve was cheating on her, and had always cheated on her from college until the day he died. The only thing that she may want to cut ties from is that now everybody else in the world knows it to. She could have left him anytime she got ready but WHY didn't she well if your guy was making that kind of money , and you lived that kind of life would you? NO she had money then, and she has it now. As far as her putting up with his "dirtbag ways" well if you know your spouse is cheating, And you don't walk away then I say OH well you deserve what you get.I fell sorry for the children yes but she knew the whole time they where married what he was doing and she chose to stay and put up with it so that is the way it goes. She had not even spoke to him in a few days before his death wow what a marriage, Yeah I would probably want to cut ties with Nashville to or stay and face everybody knowing that not only did he cheat but I let him and said O.K. come home whenever you want. Then all of you want to see his name dropped from the news because he is wasn't perfect, Well none of us know what was going on behind closed doors when he was home only Steve, And Mechelle know that and I am sure she ain't telling. Steve isn't here to defend himself and everybody is judging him on what they want to believe. He may have been cheating yes,And he paid for it with his life. I think that is punishment enough.

McNair did a lot for charities and the Titans.
McNair also revealed his other side at the end.
It is a very sad ending all around for many.
End of story.

I couldn't agree with you more!! There's no way she didn't know, but she chose to stay. From the people I've spoke with that knew them both of them had outside relationships throughout thier marriage. I just think it's a shame how his este is being split amoung her and his CHILDREN, but I guess if you don't make a will you see what can happen. People may act like they have the best intensions around your children, but when something happens they look out for them and thier children first

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Sagittarius

A loved one gets hold of the wrong end of the stick today, causing endless hassle and fuss. They're likely to get upset in the process, so you have to calm them down, and that could lead to a squabble. You may also have to cope with discord when discussing family matters, with certain people getting bogged down in daft details that you think have nothing to do with the main issue.
