A wise administrator would hold Forums throughout the County--north and south--and listen to comments from the local people.

People who have had experiences, good and bad, can explain why they will or will not utilize the local hospital.

Our recent Deming Hospital experience was going well....and then turned sour.

When another emergency occurred, we elected to go out of town and were very pleased with the care received at another hospital--not run by this Tennesse company.

Change is needed.

If he believes that the priority is recruiting physicians, he is off to a bad start already. Perhaps he should take a look at some re-prioritizing. Quality of care and cost to the patient for care there would be a couple that belong near the top of the priorities.

Maybe he should first look at who he has in charge of different units. A unit Manager should be responsible for more than making a schedule. One way to improve the hospital is to go through and weed out all the bad apples (employees) and bring in employees who do care about the care the patients receive. Get Unit managers who take their job seriously and care about their staff and patient care. I know that there are some employees there are there only for their paycheck.
