NO BACK PAIN wrote:
I think a lot of people responding on here are drug seekers. As I have been a patient here and went through their treatment process and was actually healed. They didnt just write me scripts for serious narcotics and keep me strung out. They did many procedures along with medication therapy and I didnt need them after just 6 months of treatment. I had back issues that I spent a lifetime dealing with. They healed me. I no longer need any pills for my back, and got my life back! I bounced from pain clinic to pain clinic for a long time before I could say that.
Wow! How arrogant of you to assume people are drug seekers. Yea right, im going to drive 1 1/2 hrs for drugs when you can get them on the street ANYWHERE ANYTIME. No wonder you like it there. You have adopted the same ignorant mentality as the so called doctors in that sorry facility. Its really a burden for those of us who want nothing more than to be healed but cant be according to these doctors. Ill trade heal for pill any day.

DO NOT patronize this business. I drive from Kentucky to their office (1 1/2hr) seeking healing from 12 yrs of debilitating back pain and rarely see a doctor. The "nurses" and most of the staff are so indifferent to your needs that its a joke. Their "receptionist" Jason, that makes the phone appointments is consistently a rude asshole that has hung up on me multiple times and tries to scold you for your health issues. I made the statement to jason that i couldnt believe he still had a job after the way he treated me and once again he had to come back with a unnecessary comment " yes i still work here and probably make more money than you." WTH?!?? If that isnt the most unprofessional statement to make then i dont know what is. Afterall im simply reaching out for help and this jerkass has a powertrip over appointments. I could go on and on about the bad experiences i have had with MOST of the staff but dont hav that much time to waste. My sincere advice is to plz seek treatment elsewhere, you truly truly deserve better. I wish they would allow me to do one of those commercials for them. DONT GO!

I have been going to TN Spine and Nerve since 1/2011 after searching frantically for a doctor that would take the care in relief for pain from my cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of my spine. I saw numerous chiropractors through TOA (St Thomas Hospital)
and was discouraged from having work done because my bones had become brittle from being drained of nutrients while on chemotherapy for a year. I tried another chiropractor at Action Chiropractors and was told after he applied extreme pressure to my spine,
that they would take 1 appointment to re-aligned the back and I would be in pain for at least 3 days. This was after looking at previous x-ray and CT's. I would have been paralized. I only had one bad injection appointment with one of the younger physician assistants; that caused so much after-pain that I was changed to the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and the Pain Anesthesiologist(Dr. Ladson, who is the best they have and has the experience and understanding for a great job for patients. I have had excellent results.
Because I am on SSDI, they have assisted with my testing my functional abilities with 2 jobs. Their input has saved me from having to explain to future employers my complete medical history and concentrate on disabled accommodations that need to be done for me to work. TN Spine went through a short period with new employees who were not efficient and patients was all I needed. I refuse any mistakes in scheduling that may place me at the hands of any physician assistant; even if I have already arrived. I don't get billed. Anyone who has had issues; please take the time to explain your concerns at your next appointment work-up. I guarantee you will be satisfied and as grateful as I to have chosen them. God Bless!

Im so happy that you found success with them. Unfortunately I have lost any and all faith and them and cancelled my appointment for monday. After all, any company that would allow their receptionist to speak to their patients the way Jason did/does me isnt very concerned or professional. He hung up on me numerous times, insulted me personally and when I reported him to his supervisor nothing was done. If he answers the phone I hang up and call back until some one else answers. The last time I was unable to get around him and told him that Icouldnt deal with him and I needed to speak with someone else. I said to him "I cant believe that you still even have a job there after the way you treated me." His smart ass reply was "yeah I do. And probably make more money than you!" Wow thats professionalism at its best I guess. I told him "I laugh at the thought!" and he promptly hung up on me AGAIN. Not worth the stress. Im stressed enough being in constant pain without being antagonized by their incompetent receptionist.

This place is HORRIBLE. I drive 1.5 hrs to be seen in hopes of finding a new doctor that is closer to us since we moved. My first visit took 5 hrs and I was seen by several people and left wondering who in the hell my doctor was. Then had a procedure done by one stuck up chick with no patiet care skills/bedside manor who was maybe 25 sticking needles in my back... Then I go back today..treated the exact same way except this time I had 6 injections in my back done by the same girl. The pain of the procedure probaly felt just as bad as a crucifixion and no matter how hard I cried she just got louder in her conversation with her assistant as if she didnt give a shit that I was in severe pain. I walked out of that office having a sever panic attack and hyperventilating due to the torture I had been through and the amount of pain Iwas in. I have been treated for my back for 5 yrs and have NEVER experienced such pain and careless people. The whole office staff is careless. I hope this place gets shut down. DO NOT GO TO TN NERVE AND SPINE!!! VERY INHUMANE!!
You just compared the discomfort of an injection in your back to the unspeakable torture of crucifixion.
For Pete's sake, please don't EVER have children. First of all, that pain in comparison will probably kill you. Secondly, it is my firm belief that unbelievably stupid people should stay out of the gene pool. People like you are why abortions exist.

Rip off!!!!!! I fell for their commercial for a new wonder treatment for neuropathy. I was quoted a little over $2,000.00 for the four week treatment. It was over $20,000 and my insurance picked up the majority...I am responsible for 3,000. They told me in the beginning that my insurance pre-approved my treatments for 100% but, when I got my bill and began checking my insurance company said they did not speak with anyone there. When I confronted them about the cost vs what I was told, they said this was a new program and at the time they were not sure what the exact cost would be. I can understand a few hundred dollars difference, but thousands!!! My advice to you is run away, do not walk.
Did they do anything to help you? I was thinking of going there for help with neuropathy. I saw the advertisement on TV.

I saw this advertised on tv and recommended it to someone that has no medical insurance. Over the phone they were quoted a price of $150.00 for the 1ts visit. That person just called me after going in for the appt. Once they arrived, the price changed to $350.00!! I advised them to get the heck out of there, and immediately googled this site. Wish I had googled before I sent them there. Just glad they refused to pay. Can I say RIP OFF? YES!!
Yea, good point!. I do have insurance and when I asked them to tell me prior to making an appt. for the procedure that they wanted to put me on (steroid injection)- what MY cost would be after insurance paid, they got back to me and said $91.00- I asked again is this after insurance? The person making the appt. said YES. Well, guess what I got a bill for $300.00 2 wks later from them. Upon questioning it, their "office manager" told me there is nothing they can do. I am now consulting an attorney because there is something they can do!!

Don't go to this place! Rip off and incompetence @ its absolute finest. I was told $91.00 for steroid injection AFTER having them do a pre-auth w/insurance co. Even before I went in there for the treatment when their appt. person called me (I wish I could remember their name as they are the ones who misquoted)- I asked him how much this was going to cost - simple question- that means after insurance! He said $91.00 - I said again is that the total cost after insurance? Again, yes from them- low and behold 2 wks later and I get a bill for $300.00! BCBS (insurance) never heard from them either I did my research and homework before and after- when I called their "office manage" Lynn, he says "there is nothing we can do" - so now Im waiting for his boss to call me, I'm also calling an attorney.

No, the treatments did not work. They said I fell within that 15% who would not see any improvement. So, they gave me a prescription instead and $12,000.00 in charges.

DANGER!!! Okay so I am a 29 year old woman who has been suffering from intermittent joint pain affecting every joint, including/especially my spine, except for my elbows. I went to WBFP for blood work and a work up, they referred me to TNSN to try and get the pain under control before further testing, and then tell me that I have Fibro when I have been evaluated for that before with negative results and previous tests have shown that this is something AI. My first injection didn't give me any relief until day 8. My second injection was a higher dose of medication, and I had a severe reaction causing chest pain and spinal inflammation that dramatically increased the back pain. They took over 24 hrs and three call backs to tell me to go to the ER. The ER drugged me up until I couldn't even feel my face, LITERALLY, and then sent me home. By 2am, the pain was back in full force, so I started calling the office as soon as they opened that next morning, only their phones weren't working. I ended up having to call the radiology center downstairs to take a 911 message to them, and when I finally did hear from them, they tell me to go back to the same ER that had nearly OD'D me on fentanyl and then sent me home. When I told them that I wasn't comfortable going back there and asked if there was any way that they could meet me at one of the Nashville hospitals or even call ahead to any ER, they said that they couldn't do that. In fact they said that there was nothing they could do except have me come in FIVE DAYS LATER!!! That is their response to an adverse reaction causing CHEST PAIN!!! Thankfully I was able to get in touch with my insurance's 24hr nurse line where they said that the chest was most likely being caused by the stress that the pain from the increased inflammation in my spine was putting on my heart. They also said that the increased inflammation was an allergic reaction, and gave me a course of treatment that I could do at home to help until the shots wore out of my system. Its been over a month and I am still not completely in the clear. Both of my sisters are patients there, and they have had amazing results for the 6 and 9 months they have been receiving treatments, but even they are scared of what would happen if they ever had a problem like this. One of them has a heart condition, and I wonder if she would have a heart attack before they would help or even answer their phone. Oh and watch out. Not only is the guy answering the phone a jerk, but he is apparently the grammar police and the king of ring around the rosies!!!

I went to Tn spine and Nerve yesterday to check out treatment for my neuroapthy. This was my second visit. The 1st was information gathering and took about 3 hours. Yesterday I met with A Dr.T. This visit was for report of findings from the previous visit. There was no report but a pitch on how to treat my neuroapthy. They took bioposies in two places on my leg. I was told that my insurance would not pay for the cost which was an up front payment of $5,150.00. I have made my appointments starting next week. I need to know if this treatment plan worked on any patients who had neuropathy. I have not been encouraged so far by reading these posts. I am 69 on Medicare/BCBS and my pain is very bad. I do not want medication. I have done infusions, been to TOA, etc. I saw the ad on TV and thought I would try as last resort. Please give me some information.

I started there and am now starting the 5th week of the 9 week treatment for neuropathy. I would say I am 35 to 40 % better than when I first started. I have been reading the above post and it doesn't sound like the same place that I am going. The Dr. and the whole staff have been very nice and I am thrilled with them. I live in Westmoreland which is close to Portland as I am sure you know. Did you start the treatments and if so how have they worked for you and how many have you had?

I have been a patient at TNSNI for several years. I have a really bad disc in my lower back. The treatment I have recieved, in the form of injections and pain medicine have kept me out of surgery for years now. I have witnessed incredibly rude people threaten the staff and act like 5 year old when they could not get the drugs they wanted.I have also seen friends from church finish the neuropathy treatment and get relief from years of suffering. If you are a drug seeker don't go. If you are going to act like 5 year olds, don't go.If you expect to be treated for free and not pay your bill, don't go. These providers are caring and deeply concerned for all the patients adn I have personally witnessed them pray for all the patients, even the ones who appreciate nothing.
