Hi,i have same problem about MAPCO(FIDELIS).They not covering what they say.Two times i vent to service and nothing is covered,thats what they said,so i cancel my waranty(sign policy and write leter with your lawyer or bank and send them back).They keep charge me!So be aware of them MAPCO is the same name of FIDELIS ,they just change name beacouse people sue them!!! PS. sory for poor writing .

oh my goodness. i think ive been bamboozled. i called to cancel now they're threatening to send me to collections. can they do that? i cancelled my credit card and everything.

sydi, im in the same position as you. after you cancelled your credit card and were discontinued for nonpayment, was your credit affected?

PEOPLE ........pacific gaurd warranty is now going by US warranty do not take call's from them they will tell you anything to get you to buy.....its located in plesanthill ca the owners are chirstian westbrook and doug buther ...AKA SCUM BAGS..........but what we all can do is act like we are going to buy and at the last min say you dont want it do not give any real info.....

I just sort of fell for this. I called back and canceled immediately. I also canceled and started a new bank account...hopefully that stops them.

I purchased a warranty from Mepco.Later I read about the scam in the local newspaper. I knew I had been taken to the cleaners. I then spoke with my dealership and service dept. They had never heard or worked with this company. Then I contacted the person that sold me the warranty. I too got the runaround. Sickend I cancelled my credit card and told them what happened. Then I told the company I would no longer pay. I had paid all but 5 payments. Now I am receiving bills to my home. I will copy and send them back without payment and a note. I can't afford to throw money to scam artist. I am done.

I roo was ripped off by Mepco Extended Warranty. I spoke with the salesman after I read the article in the newspaper about the scam. I asked what would happen if I stopped paying. I was told that the warranty would end. Well I stopped paying after having paid all but 5 payments. I also called the credit card company and closed that account. Now Mepco is billing me. I will send the envelope back since I can't reach them by phone. I will tell them to consider my account closed. I expect it will ruin my credit but that is better than supporting scam artist.

We keep getting those same calls (I always would hang up) about my husbands truck and also received a letter in the mail. He has the letter on his desk to call and check on. I am so glad I seen this. Will tell him to throw away and not to call them.

i took out this warranty with MEPCO FINANCE CORPORATION they keep you on hold for 30 mins. at a time at 2 to 5 a day and my car was in the shop for 3 weeks and i got no rental car, they even dont want,nt to talk to you until after that not even the people working on your car they keep the shop on hold 30 mins, or longer but i stay on line until they talk to me......i want take out a warranty again i will save my money and pay for it my self.......

I had a call from this company and they are so nice and pleasant until I said, Which vehicle are you talking about and the guy asked me what do you have. I just laughed and said you called to offer me something you don't know what you want to give me a warrenty on. Of course he got angry and i finally said it is a 1992 truck and he hung up on me. People don't buy this kind of crap, they don't pay. If you take it somewhere you have to pay up front and when you file the claim, they normally will not pay. They will tell you it was not an authorized place of business.

me too paid over 2000 doller to mepco want to know how to get it back. I take care of my husban who does not work do too health problems. So like everyone else we all need the money as soon as possible.

MEPCO is on the Better Business Bureau website with an A+ rating....CRAP! They have stolen thousands of dollars from my husband & I after we paid them off completly over a year ago. They continue to call & say we owe money, they took it upon themselves to switch our plan & add 3 more warrantyd to the same vechile! They are sneaky & deceptive! Do not give them any of your personal information!

I made a huge mistake by purchasing an extened warranty from MEPCO. I got a phone call out of the blue from MEPCO telling me that the warranty that came with the car was running out, and sold me on one of theirs. They told me that it was a "bumper to bumper" warranty. I specificlly asked them and they told me that it was. That was so far from the truth. I recieved the declaration in the mail and saw all of these things that where covered. I really thought that I had really made a great decision. I've spent at least 4,000 dollars in repairs since I bought the warranty. I feel so used, but It has really taught me to read behind the lines and do my homework.

WOW!! The first thing you do before signing an agreement is read the agreement. These warranties do not cover normal wear and tear or the expired life span of the said part. I purchased an extended auto warranty and have had no problems making claims. Some things are covered, and some things are not. If your not a smart consumer and read things for what they are, then you are setting yourself up for failure. Obviously these warranties are not a cure all. If you have problems maintaining maintenance on your vehicle, what's the point of getting extra coverage? Just keep buying crap cars that will only last a few years, because that's all you need to be responsible for!! Everyone wants something for free and thinks that just because they paid for something their liability is over. WRONG!!
