PHG Technologies, a business specializing in Patient Safety, Identification and Healthcare IT, received national re-certification as a Women's Business Enterprise by the WBEC-South, a regional certifying partner of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

WBENC's national standard of certification implemented by the WBEC-South is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

After receiving an Army CoN (Certificate of Networthiness), PHG began the extensive process of completing a DIACAP (DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process) in order to operate within DoD hospitals. The completion of a DIACAP provides certification that PHG products have been thoroughly vetted and are approved for use by all branches of the military. After more than a year of intensive testing, PHG received a DoD Authority to Operate (ATO) for its identification software, EasyLABEL, a module of the full EasyID product suite.

Since 2003, AMEDD facilities around the country have depended on EasyID from PHG Technologies to provide positive patient identification and forms automation. The implementation of EasyID allows MHS/DoD hospitals to replace existing old embossers, introduce mobile barcode scanning and improve overall patient safety for our Military families.
