Regarding the article on Islip Macarthur Airport Operations Manager Emery Dicey's retirement after the misuse of his Town vehicle. How nice it must be to be able to intentionally misuse and boldly brag about the misuse of taxpayer money and then ensure his full pension benefits aren't in jeopardy by retiring before the authorities have a chance to terminate him. There is something wrong with a system that allows someone who is caught red handed with his hand in the taxpayer's pocket to just walk away with more taxpayer money while thumbing his nose up at the system.

Isn't it funny that NOT ONE CANDIDATE, either Democrat or Republican, has suggest that they'd pass legislation that would ensure that ANY government official (fed, state, city or town) that is found guilty of anything beyond a misdemeanor would automatically lose their pensions? No wonder too, as they'd probably be assasinated before they could ever take office.

A quick google map search shows Long Island MacArthur airport abutting the airport Holiday Inn property. Questioning the airport manager needs to travel to the airport on his day off seems silly. Next, there is a new chief manager being appointed, and her background includes being a former ticket agent?
Sounds to me like their are more questions that need to be asked by a real reporter without an agenda, not one that appears to be a "hired gun" paving the way for the new political regime taking over the airport's management.
I believe Mr. Dicey was railroaded and forced into retirement by the government/media machine. Fairness and ethics in journalism? No. Just another political regime change in action with the willing assistance of their friends in the press.
