The police and township won't do anything about it unless its a major problem or crime.
These neighbors have no common sense/courtesy or respect for anyone.

yes, some people don't have common sense and courtesy. I'm facing same problem, my neighbour have friends visiting everyday and they park car in front of my house, even though they have space in front of their house. More over his son park his car everyday in front of my house because his mother needs to park in garage and she go to work early, so he keeps drive way empty. Can't she move his car in morning from drive way. I guess people are just in habbit of parking in streets even though they have driveways.
I just pain to deal such issues, because you can't change people. |

Judged: 4 2 2 For those who complain about people parking in front of your house, nicely ASK and maybe they'll respect you. I HATE it when they go behind your back and slash your tires, or key your car and say they don't know nothing about it. Nonetheless, quit yo effin' bitchin! |

Yes you can have this vehicle towed -if a vehicle impedes your ability to safely exit your driveway it is considered a hazard and can be towed by the police if you call them and advise them that it has put your family in danger several times... |

Judged: 2 2 How do I sell a house in this market for enough to get out of the mortgage when it looks like it has a used car lot sprawled out from next door to surround it? What's wrong with wanting it to look appealing to a prospective buyer without having to navigate around one or two of someone else's cars just to view it. One of you want to buy it? Anyone of you who answer "get over it" want to inherit a parking lot for the neighborhood if you're buying a home? It's apparent to me that so many people think it's no problem as long as it's legal, and not happening to them. They'd do it to someone else and not think twice. It's a sad world we live in anymore... |

Damn straight there is. There's a law against leaving the cans on the street in Carson (assume thats where you live): "5265 Residential Collection – Placement of Containers. Every residential householder shall place each solid waste container, recycling container or bundle for collection at the curb in front of the premises, or at the curb at the side of the premises where the premises are adjacent to more than one (1) street. When the premises are adjacent to a paved alley with a minimum width of fifteen (15) feet, the residential householder shall place the container or bundle within two (2) feet of the rear property line for collection. No person shall place such containers or bundles for collection prior to 6:00 p.m. on the day prior to the day on which collection is scheduled to commence in the district. No person shall leave such containers or bundles at the place of collection after 10:00 p.m. on the day of collection in the district.(Ord. 91-956,§ 2; Ord. 97-1108,§ 2) " So, just call the Code Enforcement division and make a complaint: http://ci.carson.ca.us/content/department/pub... |

Our neighbor parks his son's car (who is away at school) in front of our house and leaves it there for days (once up to three weeks) and then when he thinks someone will call the city, he moves that van and replaces it with the one he drives. We live at the end of a court so space is limiting. What's irritating is 1) he has enough room in his driveway to park 3 cars, 2) he parks in the middle of the space so no other car can fit there 3) he's a a-hole and last time we asked his maintenance people block to not block our driveway, he told us to never speak to people he hires and that he would only speak to my husband and not me (even though I was the one home that almost hit their truck). They don't speak very good english (or not that I've noticed) and are about the most unfriendly people I've met. We have 4 drivers in our family that ARE home and we always have to park down the street or double up in our driveway (thankfully we live at the end of the court but still)! My son is livid but I'm going to put a nice note on their van today to ask him to move up or back so we can also park there. I have a feeling he'll be knocking at our door tonite. Yep, he's that much of an a-hole!!!

Just a quick question. Whenever I visit my friends they never have room to park in front of their house. I always end up parking several houses away to try to get in between them and have both houses still have space for more cars in front of their house. I always feel bad about this because sometimes my car is there for a few hours and it can be up to a few times a week. Would this annoy you guys? I don't really know what else I could do

Our neighbor's friends block access to utility trailer parked in side yard. There is parking available in front of neighbor's house. I would like to get utility trailer out in an emergency without searching for the owner. We could create sloped entrance but do not have the 1,250 dollars required to complete the work. Wife is physically disabled.
We have had to carry grocery bags several blocks when our Indian neighbors invite a couple hundred people over for a party. No one parks in front of their house. |

We had several difficult neighbors. Both of them were divorced by their wife. Sometimes what goes around comes around. |

By law, it has time limit. Not all day long. |
