Downtown needs a sports bar

Why is that we see such a high turnover in the restaurants and shops downtown? I would argue at least part of the reason is that there's not enough good reasons for people to go there.

I think the right concept could work great here, and I know people say "oh, the element will come and ruin it for everyone", but you know what, Palo Alto has a ton of bars, nightclubs, some "sports bars" too, and its safe and sane downtown and people have a good time. I'm not saying we're the same as PA, its a rich place, and we're on a lower level, but the idea that all we'd get is a low class element isn't necessarily true. Sure, we have more of that around here, or in proximity, but there are ways to manage against that with pricing and music selection and decor and things like that. And downtown isn't the only place you could put in a venue like that, there are other options. That old furniture store behind Chevy's would be perfect. Close to the freeway, you could have signage, etc.

Oh sure!
Livermore needs another bar?
They got tvs in every freakin bar downtown. The problem is the people who frequent the downtown bars dont watch sports really, there all to busy with Meth. Most of the Bartenders, patrons and locals know it, that's why the resuraunts are hurting and cops are going crazy. Once a tweaker always a tweaker!

Ah, hhmmm, hmmmm..(straightens bow tie): I in fact due surmise that an established, uh correction here, uh, this type of venue in the Livermore downtown area is essential to ensure the tax base to keep firemen employed. A sports bar, essentially, will allow Livermore to literally control the rampant gov't. As a CEO and business owner, I know that a sports bar will stop the overbearing gov't from taking over.In my nearly 300 years as an all around know it all, I will stand firm on the fact that a sports bar will enhance Livermore Sanitation rates thru proxy and could solve not only the homeless issue, but provide Mike from Springtown with a potential contract. However Mike, I do caution you, please use low grade construction materials and charge for high grade stuff. So says ANON, so say we all!
