Stopped me and it was pretty scary. I was walking from my house towards downtown to go play some pool. On my way past Del Valle High School when I noticed a police officer shine his search light for a moment and then turn it off. After that I realized that there were 2 more squad cars coming from opposite directions, then another approaching from my left side.

When they stopped me, I had so many lights pointed in my eyes that I couldn't make sense of what was going on. Had I been called in as a suspect in a home burglary? since they have been happening in my neighborhood that's what I assumed with that kind of response. No couldn't be that.

All I knew is that I was being told to "drop it to the ground and raise your hands above your head." What does that mean? Do they have guns pointed at my chest? I can't see them... they might, and that's scarier than seeing the guns. Then it occurred to me that I was holding my billiard cue case and someone must have thought it was something else. I promptly dropped it and did what I was told.

The officers knew right away that I was not carrying a weapon in that small case, they even said... "I'm not sure how someone could get this confused with a rifle case, but I hope you understand why we had to approach you the way we did." Which by all means I do. I for one am happy that this happened, it shows me that we do have a very quick responding and active police force. I have always given my support to the Livermore Police Department, because whether you like police or not, they are the ones that you count on when you're in danger.

You can say FUCK LPD if you want to, but that says to me that you have something to hide.

Mind you I am 6'6", so I can understand the need for multiple cars. All in all I got a good chuckle out of it and so did they.

Great story and good attitude. LPD is a great PD and we pray for them every day.
