its a tragedy man. heres the scoop though. rapper doesnt understand how the business go or promoter tries to play rapper out of hard working funds. i know cats who do music or perform and what not. some dont agree with the contracts they because they dont get the money they deserve. so if you hood its hard to swallow. i dont know if the promoter was shady or not but i do know hood cats feel if its dough to be collected give me loot. so something went wrong there. either its probably not understanding, shadiness or you aint gone punk me. i aint sayin what happen was cool but i can dig how the youngster felt.but he could have did something different but sometime your mentality overrules your decisions. so stay up youngblood i feel ya

Shani Holloway was my niece. She was a beautiful, kind, generous, loving ,fun neice. Shani had two sons 11 and 15 years old at the time she was killed, for no reason. This coward came up and shot her in the head twice, then took off. After, mind you Shani had given him a ride there. Shani had not critized his music and there were no drugs involved. In fact they had not been arguing before this happened. Regardless he had no reason to shoot her, while she sat in the car waiting for him to come back and let her know if he needed a ride somewhere else. Shani was not trying to "get over on him"! He did not want his cd's on the radio, he wanted to go underground, and that is what they had discussed. Regardless he is a coward and is in prison where he belongs. I miss my beautiful niece very much and so does the rest of our family, especially her two sons and my sister Shani's mother. Our life has not been the same since her murder. Juston Potts ruined the lives of two families, who forever will not be the same.

I've known Shani, Jamie and Joey most of my life. Even though this man will be in prison for 50 years, it still won't bring her back.

I would buy his Cd's when he was out at selling them. I really thought he was going to make it because he was hustling his cd's and seemd focused on his dream. If he came up and I didn't have the money on me, I would have him come to my house to get it. I would see him around town looking like he was gravitating to the wrong crowed as he got older. I wish I could have pulled him to the side and caught him before he fell off.

Juston Potts is my blood brother. And there is more to the story then everybody may realize. I was not there when this event occurred and I agree that his action were far from acceptable. He deserves to be in prison for taking the life of someone, especially from her childern. However, we can not pass judgement or blame the rap music. He grew up in a reasonable family with people who love him equally as Shani's family loved her. My brother is a very passive person but something made him snap to the point of homicide. And everybody's story is different! We can make all the allegations and excuses for both parties to justify what happened. The story will always be bias because that is our loved ones...nobody wants to point the finger at themselves! So let God be the judge...because when I visit him in prison the remorse of his actions haunts him and will for the rest of his natural life. The power of forgiveness is the only way to heal. Thats for both families!
