How do you know all the little facts that only an eye witness, police officer, prosecutor, or judge would know? "but was trying to enter the car, when Ziesmer attacked a second time...but the car door was open, and he grabbed the knife from the car door"-These minute details of the incident weren't in any news articles. I followed the incident closely when it happened. But not much other than road rage, pulled over into John's burgers, fight, then stabbing were released. How do you know so much more than what was released to everyone else?

I'm thinking that, or his brother. He seems to know way too much. And much of it is info that I can't find anywhere else.

He's just some little dweeb just making up stuff to suit his own angry argument. He really has no idea what the hell he's talking about.

Yeah, until he answers the very reasonable question I posed, I'm going to assume it's a bunch of BS.

I asked anon how he knows details like this, "you're misinformed, he didn't get in his car, he was not in the car, but was trying to enter the car, when Ziesmer attacked a second time...but the car door was open, and he grabbed the knife from the car door."
This is posted on the previous page. I responded to this post on Monday and asked Jim how he knows details that weren't released to the public. And although he's responded to other posts, he hasn't responded to my question.

to be perfectly honest, I have no idea where the hell he is getting these details. My assumption is that he's making false statements to save face. Either that or like you said he must be related to Cort. Either way he needs to realize that all of his insane ramblings don't change the fact that a serious crime was commited and his opinion on how the trial went is juvenile at best.

Then again as his name would suggest...maybe he's a highly intelligent computer hacker who only wants to see true justice. But I doubt that very much.

No relation, and I know only public information, you're just not well informed. You could read the indictment or charging documents.

Who is Jim? And yes, you confused me with Mourning Wood in your last post as well. As I mentioned, you just need to read the publicly available information - that is all I have done as well.

This is quite sad. I feel for Cort Holbrook and the family of Ricky Ziesmer, good or bad, he was a father, a son , a brother, husband. He grew up innocent and was influenced in the wrong way but he was a human trying to make his way in the world. Cort Holbrook, by all means a very successful SW engineer, father, son, brother, husband , family man.

But Cort by far was the man who certainly had the opportunity and sense to just keep driving. I know that thought goes through his mind every single minute, hour, day. All of us have been in some verbal altercation or another in the past. When it's over, we ALL feel like crap. If we dont, then we are lost.

A man killed another man and I believe Cort has paid the price with 2 years in jail. I dont believe he will ever look down at anyone ever again.

Lets forgive Cort and Rickey for their transgressions and hope Cort sends a positive message to his children for the future. With 2 years time served all ready, I believe he will get a 4 year sentence and he will be out in 6 month with good behavior, since he was convicted of voluntary manslaughter, not 2nd degree murder.

In that verdict, the jury did consider the facts and believed that both men were culpable to the crime. I also believe Cort slashed Mr. Ziesmers tires to prevent him from leaving which may have actually saved Mr. Ziesmers life, because ambulance and police would have shown up faster than the desperate klinging to life feeling that Mr. Ziesmer had.

I've followed this case for 2 years now - thinking this could be me or anyone else driving on the road. Everyone should love one another and learn that we are all brothers and sisters in this very very short period we are on this earth.

What a bunch of crap. A man DEFENDED himself against a violent drug addict who was totally drunk (read the report), and who attacked him twice, not in a "mutual combat" situation, but an aggravated assault by the dead druggie, who also screamed a death threat against Mr Holbrook as he charged him in order to assault him the second time.

The only lesson to be learned here is that people in California are fucking morons who don't have the sense they were born with, and that if you ever all into their clutches when they are empaneled on a "jury", you're screwed, because unless you're a mouth breathing moron, you are not "among your peers".

The other lesson this illustrates, and hopefully even druggies and morons will be able to absorb it, is that if assault others, you can expect them to defend themselves, possibly with deadly force, and you might die. And you would deserve it. Society has no place for these animals like Ziesmer - if only we could figure out how to identify them and stab them all!

Regardless of Holbrook's defense; he didn't have to pull over. Once he did, he became a willing participant, got his ass beat and decided to kill Zeismer. If he was clear headed like you say then it was murder not manslaughter. When you fight someone and kill them, you go to jail. Should've shut his mouth and went home before he got punched.

The jury is stupid and doesn't have any courage or ethics. They better hope that their neighbors don't find out who they are.
Do you have any thing else to say other than "the jury is stupid?" You must be a family member of him... If a person genuinely fears for their life, they don't get out of their car to confront someone. It's that simple.

Give us all a break Anon...I am also convinced you are a family member or close friend of the Livermore Slasher. Who provokes a confrontation ( yes, with an ex con that won't be missed), gets his ass whooped then stabs his MUTUAL COMBATANT buddy twice and claims self defense?...the next resident of San Quentin does, that's who! Your friend has anger issues and doesn't deserve to be in a safe society. One other thing, your buddy stopped to fight knowing he had a nice in the car and obviously was thinking of using it from the beginning...when you are beat up and exhausted from that beating, you resort to old thoughts and behaviors...such as grabbing the shank you had been thinking about before you stopped.
