I'd like to know how these kids live in Oakland but come to our Livermore schools.Do they really like being here with all the cowtown folk?

Of course there is violence in Livermore. However , the "gangsters" posting in here are clearly children with no idea what they are saying. I don't know any gang members who would spend so much time on a Livermore news site, much less say "lol" "lmfao", etc so much as though they were playing around on myspace. When I was in junior high and highschool it was cool to pretend you were in a gang or claim this or that even though we had no idea what we were talking about.

Hahaha, I grew up in Stockton and the gangs are MUCH worse out there than in Livermore. I've been living in Livermore for 2 years now and my whole family laughs at these Livermore "gangsters".

I moved to Livermore in 2005 from Dublin where I have lived most of my life. I was shocked to see how much gang violence there is in Livermore. I lived in apartments and witnessed several gang related crimes. When I called the police to verify the details they lied and covered it up. The Livermore Police Dept hides the violence from the public and the media. But be assured, whatever your teenager is teling you is true. The police also protect the Soranos whicj are thr gang members from Mexico. They'tr nothing but drug dealers. They work in local restaurants in Livermore. One Saturday recently I was in a tacqueria with my teenager and thy're friend. A gang member was working in the restaurant and as soon as they saw our friend, they started calling people and we had to leave before our friend was jumped. I'm 48 yrs old never been involved with that life style at all, am not prejudice. But the illegals coming in from Mexico have an absolute hatred for Americans of any race. If you call the LPD and you do not live in the million dollar homes, most likely they won't come to take a report until the next day. I've witnessed many incidents involing guns at the grocery store on Portola too. Not a safe place to go late at night.

Livermore needs to stop making all apartments in Livermore section 8. That just draws all the low life into the area. Stop with all the bleeding hearts that we are just being prejudiced!I'm getting sick and tired of all the crap moving into our town.
