SO during dinner my 15 year old Sophomore tells me about all of the gang violence in my beloved Livermore!?!?! what is going on?? I tried to search the news and cannot find reports of this violence and the attacks he is telling me about...what is happening to the wonderful place where I chose to raise my children??

Hi, me too. I did read it in the paper I believe it was Friday's. I was shocked and asked my 13 yr son about it and he had heard of it too. I am soooo sick of it. He actually gets threatend by black kids at school who carry knives. I have ssen this kid and want to go to school and kick his a## myself. I will see if I have a copy of the article.

hahahahaha all of you need to wake up this is no peaceful livermore and it never was you just never oppened your eyes this is just going to get worse why because i know i grew up with it i dont agree on what its based cuz i a mexican think its ridiculous.....but they got to represent their thang/if you want to stay safe here you better be more careful who your talking to and in what way because if they shot someone whats stops them from shooting...any other punk that starts messing aroung with them....well im just telling you this cuz as a mexican brn accross the boarder....does not wish any one of you family children whatever getting shot ,but thats the future of livermore. Even if you try to make laws it wont work trust me i know from experience....just tell your children to keep theire mouth shut because at schools it the worst.and it really doesnt matter which one beacuse they are every-where...just giving you a heads up.....i mean they really have no reason to start anything with residents but dont prevoke anything..............

Gangs?? Have you ever really seen a gang in Livermore?? I highly doubt it!! Did someone tell your son about this "gang violence", or was it just your typical small town H.S B.S ?? The city of livermore defines a Gang as a gathering of 3 or more persons,..in a car, on the sidewalk, or even a resteraunt???? This gives the cops a better way to make arrests and harrass people! I just got pulled over by the Livermore Police because i was wearing Red. They told me that i should concider changing my attire because recently there have been a few shootings. sounds funny to me. I havent really seen anything that bad happen here.

it used to be a peaceful Livermore...I have lived here for over 20 years. Moved here from Sac, where I did see first hand gang violence in the schools. I just wish youths could be more respectful and appreciate theire families and understand their actions in a larger sense.

I wasn't trying to start a mexican bash here...I appreciate the jobs mexicans do and the pay they accept that is too little for most caucasians to accept. I like my neighbors who take pride in their homes and our street - some are mexican.
I just want a safer neighborhood - and I don't live on the wrong side of the tracks...
