1 Showing posts 1 - 2 of 2 former value city Fort Branch, IN #1 Mar 9, 2007 I hope that anybody that reads this takes the time to drop value city an email or just refuse to shop there. I want everone to know where value city stores hold the work ethics. I can tell you first hand that value city is one of the biggest cover up the sex scandal since the catholic church. I can tell you that there are several mangers that have been involved in alot of misconduct with the associates at the stores and if it is discovered guess what happens you report it and then you prove it beyond a shadow of doubt so then you get threatened by H.R. you get told that if you reveal your info that at that time you will be fired even though you did not do anything wrong, well then guess what happens the manager or management does not get fired instead they consider a transfer for that person, well if you then reply to H.R. and tell them that you dont think thats the right thing to do and you threaten to raise a stink about it then H.R. along with certain other upper managment decide that this publicity may not be such a good idea so then the manager or management gets fired but not for the sexual misconduct they get fired for not being productive, then when thats not a big enough coverup they allow the terminated manager to get unemployement because on the unemployement paper work it states that the manager was not fired for a misconduct issue (I know and can prove better) I am sure that if by some means this post makes it back to certain people at corperate office they will know who I am but guess what (I cant still prove what I say). I just think that good ole Value City should be a little more up front and not allow anyone to give false info to the unemployement board (hey isnt that illegal i think it is) Good ole Value city by the way has anybody heard of a going out of business sale or a close date yet!! |

1 Its time for the American citizen to throw out the garage in the election year to come and not vote at all. Believe me, vote and we'll get Hillary Clinton or Osama Bama. So really what the difference. We really haven't had a decent government since Reagan(And I'm a democrat). Regardless, Value Citys is minisqal. Our government is ethically and morally challenged and the majority of America we live in poverty my 2010. If you think back through history when the America colonists were challenged by the same type of govenmental fundamentalistic bull, our country saw fit for a revolution (1776). History repeats itself all the time, so if we don't kill ourselves by ruining the earth, our government will eventually kill us slower over time by deepining their pockets and cutting holes in ours. Company insurance benefits are unrealistic. Two thirds of my pay every two weeks is donated to my companys insurance (Optimum Choice (MAMSI)) and we don't get cost of living increases, try even attempt to stay afloat. Maybe, if Amercica starting taken back as was decided by our honest, moral fore-fathers and let us start over by their lessons. PResident Bush is a worthless, no good, self serving hipocrit thinking of nothing otherthan is bottom line. Where Wilkes Booth when you need him??Maybe someone will see this and make it to CNN or something and do a survey and see how many people agree with what I'm saying. It's time for a change America. |

the main thing is..their product suxx! I bought a very heavy kitchen set (moving desperate) from them. a leg broke off the chair (WTF??!) dangerous.
they glued it back in place for free but that's dumb glue will not support a person's weight. it didnt hold up. if I ever get time I will call them to send a new leg. Charlotte area store. |

1 If Value city would have cleaned out some more people at the main office that doesnt do anything except try to keep the employees moral busted use threats against the employees and tell them that if they do report it that they will be terminated the company would have been so much better off. K. Simpson is one of these employees also K Rhodes. And as far as the mangers they really need to take a good look at them. Value City blames everthing else amd everyone else except the guilty parties, perfect example look at the conditions of the stores now versus what they use to be, look at sales how poor they are the company blamed everything and everyone except the manager of the store. If Value city would have changed managers in the stores (not all but most) this would have made the differance in the stores staying open versus closing. When is the last time that you have gone into one of these store and a manager just speak to you doesnt happen very often. Listen to the employees in the store and the will tell you had bad management is in the stores. Well enough said |

1 All stores and DCs will be shutdown pretty soon. The DCs faster than the stores but not too far ahead. The schotenstiens north store (and maybe the other stores that are going to Burlington) will be closing in Jan acording to a few things I have read. The Buyers stopped buying merchandise months ago, so there is no merchandise coming on the inbound side and the DC I work in will be empty in less than a week. Once the merchandise is gone from the building that will be it. |
