Taste like crap and not worth the price they charge. You can go to other stores and get name brands for the same price walmart sells their crap for.

I love great value products. I always buy great value paper products and things like ziploc bags. I also buy the great value can foods and frozen foods and don't see any differences and neither does my family. saves me a whole lotta money. what exactly are you saying is nasty?

I buy lots of Great Value Products. The cereals are wonderful. The $1/box snacks of swiss cake rolls, honey buns, etc. are very good. Frozen foods and canned goods are great too. I don't what you are buying, but my whole family loves it. Show me a receipt from Ingles, Publix, Kroger or especially Piggly Wiggly with prices lower than WalMart across the board, and I'll gladly kiss your a**!

I find some of the Great Value products are just as good as the name brand ones. I also have found some that are not good. It is trial and error, I have learned which ones are good. Also I have to disagree on finding prices elsewhere that beat Walmart. I have not seen any grocery store that has products cheaper in price than Walmart. You better be prepared to pay three times as much for a product at Ingles, their prices are unreal!

I know they were trying to do a funny but Kotex is a Brand name, if it is Great Value brand then it is not a Kotex.

Everyone calls off-brand gelatin, Jello. I know they do. It's not different for other things.

Guys, the stuff is cheap for a reason; plus, it's VERY bad for you.

If you will pay attention to recalls, you will see that many Name brand items and the Great Value brand are made in the same facility. The food or product is made from the same ingredients the Name brand one is. You are just paying for the name when you buy Name Brand items.

I use as many Great Value products as I can. However last week I opened a can of corn (GV) and there were 8 kernals on the bottom and the rest was liquid.

I actually saw a story one time about Great Value milk being Mayfield. It's the same thing as clothing. Old Navy, Gap, Limited, etc. are all the same company. They are made in the same warehouses, and different name brand tags are sewn in. My child's pediatrician told me to buy generic formula years ago, because the generic brands are held to the same exact standards as the name brands. WalMart is cutting out the middle man and saving people lots of money!! I actually just finished a GV swill cake roll with a big glass of GV milk.....YUMMY!!

I know that's just a typo, but given this thread's subject, the idea of "swill cake" is just too funny...

I won't buy produce or meat from WallyWorld, but anything else is fair game.

Sorry about the typo. Swiss Cake Roll. My roll got caught up in my swiss! LOL We don't eat red meat, but the pork, chicken and turkey is good. Although, I think the chicken is Tyson, and the I buy Jennie O turkey. The pork might be from WalMart, and it's fine.
