If 3 year olds are being "thrown" into bathrooms this should be reported to the Bremen Police Dept immediately.

This has happened before. Someone gets their feathers ruffled, possibly at an employee or former co-worker, and decides what better way to get revenge than to blast the establishment on Topix. If you truly have concerns, go directly to the source especially when it concerns your children.

^ yea I agree with that. I'd definitely ask! Always ask to see the video! If they can't show you the video or they can't explain something, then something is wrong

From infants being left alone in their room to teachers throwing 3 year olds into the bathroom i do not know where professionalism even comes into that building! Myabe the people who work there do not think kids talk... but mine tells ALL!
And a three year old always tells the truth, and is detailed and accurate on all the days events at the daycare. Please.

My children are very happy at Stonebridge. My children were at Millennium in the past, and I noticed three separate incidents of little to no supervision. I have never seen a lack of supervision at Stonebridge. They have made some very smart decisions in the past year that have put the daycare at a really exceptional level in my opinion.

And this is not a remark from anyone who works/owns Stonebridge but from a pleased parent.

MS04 -- don't be ignorant! Some things I just don't see a 3 year old making that up!
Does state not go into that place? I've heard so much about all the daycares and I've worked in one before. If we messed up sate was on our cases! Why does the director not stay up there? What would the owner say about that?

Seems to me lots of folks do that very thing on here

They do not have an owner AND a director there. They have a 2 in 1 kind of deal I guess! But it isn't healthy for her business. If you have kids that go there call and ask questions!!!! Go up there randomly, not at your normal times so that it is unexpected. Ask your kids questions because they will tell you!

Why are infants being left alone?? Something will happen up there! Wait and see

You can live in your own little delusional bubble if you want to but there is a total lack of supervision! All you have to do is be friends with the workers on facebook to see that some are to busy updating their status all day to watch the kids closely!

If you are concerned, I would definitely make some pop-in visits. Here are the times that I would pop-in:

Between 11:30 - 12:00 (this is the lunch time when they also make runs to the church preschools).

Naptime

Middle of the day when the bus runs happen again to pick up the afterschool kids

Early on holidays when the census might be low and the teachers who also have kids might not be there for school parties.

It should give you an indication of when teachers might have the lowest supervision level...

How do you know when these employees take breaks. You do realize they take breaks, right? They have bathroom privileges don't they? Some people choose to smoke on their breaks, some choose to update Facebook. If I had to pick which one was going to be caring for my child, it would be the Facebooker.

I have two children at Millennium and have to say that the comments on this post are pathetic! My children have been there since they opened and I have been nothing but HAPPY since they began. The staff are very attentive to the children. My two have learned an enormous amount since they began and ask to go there even on the weekends! The owner is always there everyday and takes her business extremely serious! She goes beyond what State expects and then some! Millennium is by far the best daycare in Bremen and beyond to me! For those of you that have concerns, I would take them to the owner instead of complaining on this site. No business is perfect but if you don't voice your concerns to the person or people that can fix them, how can you expect anything to change? You also may ask why the other person that posted the other comments is actually not there anymore?

I left because I visited during odd moments mentioned above and caught a problem with supervision. I have no issues with the director, her family, or any personal grudges, but I had to withdraw my child when I realized there was a supervision issue.

I would recommend popping in at those odd moments. Ask yourself this very important question: If there was a fire, could they get all kids out in time?

Thank you for a detailed report, instead of all the banter used by others. The orginal post and others are probably from friends of the competition(Stonebridge). Sure you need to check out a day care carefully, but these posts are just over the top. Facebook? Really? Thats the best you have?

When you say supervision problems, could you be more specific? They seem overstaffed most of the time I am there. And I do come in at different times b/c I travel and do not pick up at the same time everyday. I am sorry you feel the way you do but all the parents I speak with in Bremen rave about Millennium and the staff. Hope you have better luck in the future!

I think that it is very odd that MSO04 is even commenting on this since he/she evidently does not have any children in daycares and can not speak about the situation. I am not friends with the competition - I just have children at the competition. I choose my daycare with my children's best interests in mind. I appreciate the comments from Parent because they have experience with the situation, but I don't need undue comments from a third party who thinks I have a vendetta. In fact, I do not.

My incidents are not recent and I do not want to be specific since things *may* have changed. I am just telling you that I had noticed a few incidents with little supervision that I was uncomfortable with and I am pointing out the times that I caught those incidents occurring. If you are concerned or have a child there, then that is when I would check. Only a parent can judge what their comfort level is about their daycare.

You can't always go by what your children say but you should listen. I have no idea if the original claim is valid particularly. I have had to question what my children tell me about basic things because they are little and don't know how to express themselves fully yet. I just know what *I* saw. My child loved going to Millennium as well and it was very difficult to make the decision to withdraw.

Well I have just heard of all this and think that this is great that they are finally talking about this. I have recently pulled my child from that daycare and I would honestly not feel comfortable leaving my child there. There are some teachers that are absolutely wonderful there not all of them are bad. Some of them have quite the reputation though. How you act out in public definitely reflects on your overall character an I have seen some definitely unbecoming behavior of some of them. Wives I would also watch out for your husbands there. There is one teacher who is sleeping with two diffeent dads up there, and apparently stalking annother married father.

I can give you specific examples of some of the things that are happening up there. The infants are being left unattended. I will say that it's not Miss Karen. It's also happening in the back of the daycare. The one year old room seems to be ok. The rooms are being left unattended and there have been circumstances where the owner is not there and has come in where employees are gathered in the hall and instead of getting on to them she joins in.

I think that the owner means well and she is a great person. However she needs to hire a director to be there when she can't be that is impartial to all the people there. There is a fine line between being a boss and being a friend and it's been crossed. I loved millenium when I first brought my child there I loved it and I completely felt comfortable. I will say that over recent months things have extremely deteriorated.

They have missed on state the last several times for teachers not being in their rooms. AS for the facebook thing, I think that use to be a big problems, but I have been monitoring that a bit my self and that does seem to be getting better. I want to support Jennifer in her business endeavor, but I can't risk the safety of my child. I think that she needs to reevaluate her staff and make sure that they are a team and not divided.

I am not trying to bash them in anyway but parents you should be concerned about your children. There well being is the main focus and not worrying about who we are or are not sticking up for.
