This is a horrible place to get feedback. Some will answer you truthfully, but some on here will give you very negative reviews. We've seen past instances of people trashing a center because they were a disgruntled employee or their children were removed from the program because the parents wouldn't pay. As a parent myself, I realize this is a very important decision, but I would go visiting the programs you are interested in to avoid getting a lot of misinformation here. Best of luck to you in your decision!

And if it helps, I have heard very positive things about all the PreK programs in the area. It's really going to come to what teaching environment you want for your child.

I have heard great things about the First Baptist and not such good things about the First Methodist. What are your opinions on these to schools? I really want my children in a christian environment. I want true Bible studies along with big school teachings. I also heard Bremen city prek is not so great what is your take on it.

First Baptist PreK and Jones PreK are both good, but they are different learning environments so it will depend on what you are looking at for your child. However, their enrollment periods have already began and they tend to both fill up quickly. You may now be put on a waiting list so I would contact them immediately.

I do not know about The First Methodist Church. I have had no experience with them to judge them and I don't have any friends that have had their children in that program to give feedback.

I have heard positive things about Stonebridge Academy's PreK program as well in the past couple of years.

Hope that helps.

Do not send you child to the Bremen First Methodist preschool! My oldest went there 3 yrs ago it was great my middle child started the year out there but was pulled out because we did not like Mrs. Leigh. I was told someone else was to be the lead teacher or I would not have sent my child there because I heard bad things about Leigh last year. I wanted to send my baby next year but will not because Mrs. Robbie is not there anymore. Also because I quavering learned the two directors lie very badly.

There is only one director. If you don't even know how many there are how do you know 'they' are lying?

Oh my goodness... here we go again! I hate to have to defend myself on a gossip/trash website, but when i receive phone calls from friends about this kind of thing, I can't let it happen.
Instead of listening to disgruntled ex-employees,or their friends the best thing to do would be to drop into the programs 'unannounced' and have a tour. This is the BEST way to see what each program has to offer, whether it's curriculum, staff or facility that you wish to observe.
As far as a child being pulled out because of me.... NOT TRUE! We did have a child last year whose parent's wished to step away from the program because he wasn't quite ready for it, but he had no siblings. Each year the program and staff are re-evaluated and if there are any short-comings, they are not asked to return. With that being said, it's fairly obvious that I was, and that my current co-teacher has changed...
If you wish to discuss MY NAME any further, you can contact me directly through the church or find me on Facebook, but leave my name off of Topix, please.

I have had children at the Methodist Church preK and Baptist Church. Both programs are wonderful! It really depends on what you are looking for. The Methodist church uses the pinnicle ciriculam and it is more arts and crafts based learning. They do take home readers in prek and journal to get them ready for Jones. The Baptist church uses Abeca program. I have been impressed with that program. The Methodist church takes field trips, which I found very helpful getting to know other moms and know the area because I was new here too! If you work though, that could be a draw back because your child can not go on field trips without a parents or grandparent. The Methodist church also has a Christmas and Spring Musical, which is really cute for kids at this age to participate in. Both programs graduate with a cap and gown program, which is sweet, esp since Jones does not do cap and gown graduation with the Kindergarten kids. I agree though with other moms on this site, pop in for vists. Do not base your opinion on what you read on this site alone. I love both programs because they are 1/2 days. Any Georgia prek program that is funded by the state has a requirement of the child attending 6hrs, so they go about as long as kindergarten kids. At this age, that is a long day for them. The Methodist church gets out at 12 and the Baptist church at 11:20. I am a SAHM, so I have the option to do 1/2 day, but if you are working it could be harder to find childcare if they were going 1/2 day vs 6hrs. It is a lot to take into consideration, but either Baptist or Methodist church you won't go wrong. Both programs are wonderful and teach bible stories and lessons to the kids. Also they have great teachers that LOVE the kids.

One of my children went to Pre-K at the First Babtist of Bremen, the other went to Jones Pre-K. I loved both although the second wanted to learn the ABC's of Bible study. Other than that everything was fine. It truly depends on not only your financial situation, but the time you are wanting your child to spend at school the first year.
