Bremen Football Coaches have lost their touch. I think it is time for a new coaching staff at Bremen High School. I hear that Coach Tolleson is only part-time, now, anyway. It's the same thing every year, over and over, just different players. They do win games, but not the MOST important ones (play-off games). I wonder if it's easier for the quarterback to pass the football to a 5 ft. receiver instead of a 6 ft. receiver???? Most of Bremen's receivers are 5 ft.!! Oh, yea, Bremen doesn't pass the football!!! Good Luck Bremen Blue Devils!!

Bremen had a couple of real good recievers last year that were in the 6'3 to 6'4 range and after they threw them a 15 or 20 yard pass it seemed like they thought they had the running game set up and didn't pass again the rest of the game. It must be against their religion to pass the ball, but when you get up against the elite teams in the playoffs you got to use all your weapons.

Everyone can coach a fine game from the comfort of their own home.

I hate to say this but I agree. I have been watching Bremen football for awhile and its just become stagnant. Its the same plays over and over and the same players over and over (they do get tired, put someone else in). They aren't a big team but they do have heart and know the fundamentals. Unfortunately, until some changes are made things will stay the same. God help those kids next year in AA.

And also, for the record, they do have some speed and they do have players that can catch passes and run. For the life of me I just don't know why Coach T does not utilize ALL of the talent he does have. You always see him quoted in the paper saying they don't have much talent but they have heart, etc. They DO have some talent if they took the time to develop it and actually USE it.

IT is ALL on the coaches...the kids can only run plays the coaches call but yes, for YEARS we run same plays. Other teams don't have to watch film...they already know whats gonna happen. We have had many great QB's that can throw the Hell out the ball and receivers that can catch them as well. I think everyone is scratching their head on Friday nights because its like watching a rerun. Come on Coaches let the talent shine thats on the sidelines and the results would be incredible. Go Big Blue.

Looks like mommy and daddy's little Johnny is on the sidelines so you have to come on here and cry about it. If you don't like what the coaches do go play for Haralson County.

Bremen runs the Option and they run it well. They aren't, and have never been a passing team. Get over it!

I am curious as to what talent you see on the sideline that isn't playing? I would imagine the coaches are playing as many players as they can with the heat being what it is. It probably would be nice for them to pass more, but if they didn't when the coaches son played QB and we had a couple of 6'5" receivers.

The Bremen coaches do a lot with a little...and do it fairly well. Did you see the size and athleticism of Temple, Central or Friday night? Proud of the boys and the way they fight.

That's what I mean, "Do you see the size and athleticism..." We aren't some second rate team, we have good players that are true athletes. Its not that all the talent isn't being played, its just that all the talent isn't being properly utilized. I agree that the coaches do a lot with what they have. However, to say we don't have much is to sell our kids short. Yeah, we aren't giants but we are athletes. The point is we either run the fullback or do a quarterback keeper with an occasional change up of runners. I guess I think our boys are better than they are?
Its just unfair that when someone questions anything its automatically assumed they have a kid who is not playing. Why is that? Maybe its just someone commenting that we could be so much more and so much better if given the chance.

Did you see the game at Central? The Bremen team wore the Central team out but since the Bremen coaches played about 15 boys, total, the whole game, the Bremen players were absolutely worn out by the end of the 3rd quarter. Not sure about all of the sideline talent, but I bet the hot and exhausted players would have loved to had a small break to catch their breath!!

You people are retarded, Bremen has very little athletic talent this year. The triple option and Tolleson has allowed Bremen to not be Temple since 01. Get over yourself and keep coaching from the sideline. Pathetic.

If its not clear after this Friday's game that SOMETHING needs to change then someone needs glasses. They ran THREE offensive plays, lined up the defense all wrong and let AM make every one of those touchdowns. There were a few brightspots but those were far and few in between. It was downright embarrassing.
This is not an offended parent talking, this is just a football fan who is saddened by the terrible decisions being made. Lets hope they take these 2 weeks and watch their film and make some adjustments or Darlington will makes fools of them.

Yeah, riiiiight. Tolleson and the rest of the coaches have gotten dumb all of a sudden. Look at Georgia Tech. They run the same plays over and over and have done quite well under Paul Johnson.

If you think it's bad now, just wait until they play a full AA schedule.

Talent goes in cycles and I just don't believe this current crop is as good as the boys from 2 and 3 years ago.

Most of you have no clue about football.Bremen perfects what they do and wears people out.The option absolutely gives defensive coordinators fits.Talent is most certainly cyclical and we are down but certainly not out and it is BECAUSE of the plays we run.Valdosta won six national championships running basically 4 plays...out of the double option! The more crap you add to the offensive the likelyhood that the players are going to screw it up increases exponentially.
On the other hand,we do need to pass at least 10 times a game to keep the defense loosened up some.

Really, well we aren't running the 2-3 plays we have very well then because we have yet to "wear anyone out." The QB holds the ball way out to the side with one hand, like a neon light blaring, "take me." The fullback does a great job, all things considered, but what happens when he finally gets hurt (which he will)? What then? They don't even practice anything else. Our defense gave AM's QB way too much time to figure out what he was going to do, it was obvious before the play what he was going to do because he looked right at the receiver he was going to pass it to. Yet the defense lined up on someone else. To bring your safety's in when you know they are going to pass is not smart football. Its those kinds of errors which makes it even worse.

Yes, our talent is down and it will be even worse 1-2 years from now, but we have smart coaches who need to adjust for that. Our lines are weak, we know that. At the AM game I hoped they would come out after the half and do something different and adjust to the speed and smarts of the AM offense but they didn't. Yes, AM is a 3 AAA team with a lot of speed and talent. We would have probably lost anyway, but we still can do something more. I do have faith the coaches will learn from this and figure out what to do.

Why don't you armchair quarterbacks get off your butts and try sweating out a year of coaching? Bremen does the best with the athletes they have. You sound like idiots who were benchwarmers and you have benchwarmers for kids. Shut the hell up.
