Ok, I'd like to have a good discussion with no name calling or profanity please.
My discussion is on how many people will be going to heaven. I don't believe that just 144,000 will be the total number, and the bible also says a great multitude that no man can number, so please have a grown up discussion on this with me.

I agree, I think only God does know the answer, but my discussion is that there are people out there that only believe 144,000 are eligible, I wasn't raised that way, and I think that it is sad to live your life thinking that your are doomed to hell.

Perhaps I'm missing somethign here...I thought if you were "saved" and/ or took communion...you were going to paradise. Where (chapter and verse) does this 144,000 thing come from? It's not the ravings of a 4 year old girl in 1822 as reported by an Irish monk again is it?

I have heard of this false teaching, in fact one of those who teach this came to my house "witnessing" and I asked them if their parents were of the same faith to which they responded yes and so were my grandparents. I said and probably their parents as well. she said yes. I said well don't you think your chances are pretty slim by now if only 144000 are getting in?...she left i beleive this teaching comes from revelations during the tribulation. I know i am going to heaven. the bible says no one comes to the Father except by me. I beleive anyone who has trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be in Heaven and those who deny/reject Him will only face certain doom and damnation.

The bible says during the tribulation period 144,000 jews will convert and be eligible to go to heaven. That is one of the many signs for the end of this earth as we know it. The gentiles (which is us) number is not mentioned, but it will be a great multitude and as christian daddy said in his comment: Jesus said no one comes to the Father except by me. I beleive anyone who has trusted in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be in Heaven and those who deny/reject Him will only face certain doom and damnation.

I don't think that the Jesus crew has to compete with that. In fact, I don't think we have to compete with anything. That's not what we are asked to do.

As far as the 144,000...If you believe what the jeh... witnesses preach then you aren't worried about Jesus at all. They teach that he was just Michael, the archangel...

The Scripture says that we should test these false spirits, and I have...Do they confess that Jesus the Christ is come in the flesh. People will talk about religion, and even talk about God. But when it comes to Jesus, they don't want to hear that He is the only way...

Considering your tireless fighting in the war on cellulite, you would have to be looked upon favorably, Skinny.

Sorry Green River Guy, but doing what you say will get you in, like Flynn... in hell that is and you will burn with the unsaved tender young chicks in the lake of fire (you will hear their scream, but you won't be able to touch them - you won't want to, you'll be in pain yourself). The easiest way is to confess your sins and ask Jesus for forgiveness (nobody has to get killed, you don't have to blow anybody up). Islam is not the answer, it is just one of Satan's many lies.

This is how I believe, and have always been taught. My faith has always been true, but when people interpret things differently than me, I don't doubt my faith, but I feel bad for the ones that don't believe as I do. I don't think of it as fair to children to condemn them to hell, just because you think only 144k will be in heaven. I never really given it much thought, but some also believe the world will be paradise?? I always thought that the world would be destroyed and that's that. I will look into this further. I don't think we are meant to be able to interpret everything in the Bible. If we knew the answers to the questions, then we would be God. Correct.

Jahovah's Witness believe only 144,000 will go. Don't you think if only 144k is going, heaven is already full?

Romans 10 verses 9 and 10
King James Version
That if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him form the dead, thou salth be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation..verse 11 For the scripture saith whoseever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Praying and talking to God asking wisdom, an understanding..it is my opinion that this is the plan of salvation.I hope this helps.
