NO, the investigation is FAR FROM COMPLETE. spoke w/ officer Morrow yesterday, lead tx ranger on the case. he says he is knee deep right now. that it will be "At least 3wks" before he can even have a police report done because there are too many things that don't make sense/don't add up.

I never SIDED with the PD...I try to always see things from both sides. I'm just trying to get all the facts strait in my little pea brain and not really take sides until the investigation is over. Sorry if it looked like I was taking sides...I've been a cop - and I graduated with Mike. So maybe I am in the middle right now.

Holt has 4 dogs and I was told one of them was a police dog. Guess someone didn't get told the truth.
Three of the dogs belonged to the owners of the house he is renting.
Wonder if he takes care of animals better than he does people...

I don't know this guy...but it seems nobody likes him. What is the deal with him? Is he just not a good person?
Hey guys! First, they are not back on duty. Even if they were found not to be at fault(which is a joke),they would still have to go through counseling etc. before being released back to the streets(which we pray will never happen).
Stay focused on the task at hand.
Now ACB,...no one liked this man because he was rude and inconsiderate to the public and his fellow officers. He never attempted to make friends with strangers or coworkers. He did not try to become a contributing member of this community. I need you to understand that I am just as concerned for the officers that work with this man as I am the public safety. These honest "beyond the badge cops" deserve to patrol with someone that is not a liability. I believe this man should have been fired long before this tragedy.

So i havent been on here in a few but you all are still in my prayers. Especially monday. Here in Odessa there was something pretty major going on with nearly every officer in the town it looked like. Just blocks from my house, the cops were running down the streets with their guns drawn. It was obvious that they were after someone or several someones. I thought of MIke imediatley and began to pray that the situation here did not turn fatal. Then to actually see those cops runnig like that with guns in hand kinda humbled me for a minute and I tried to put things into their perspective.(Now hold on before any of you get mad. In ABSOLUTLEY NO WAY AM I JUSTIFYING HOLT OR GABRIELLE, SO please dont think I am. I am talking cops in general, mainly the good ones) It's gotta be pretty scary for them when they have to be in a situation like that and be in pursuit of someone. NOT TALKING ABOUT MIKE'S SITUATION AT ALL HERE. IT WAS NOT A PURSUIT THING. But I had a pray for those Odessa cops here that day and kinda see them in a diffrent light now. As before Iv'e really never had any use for any cops period. The deal here was that 6 teenagers broke into a house and stole alot of stuff and the cops came and they ran. Everyone was caught and it turned out fine, but so easily it couldv'e turned for the worse.
I read something about an editorial in the B.A. who wrote it? And is it in the paper online. I would like to read it. Mike's family is in my thought and prayers daily. Especially his kids. My greatest fear on this earth is something happening to me and leaving my kids behind. It's really hard on them i am sure. Marcus Valentine was killed six years ago and his son was young and man, to see a kid lose a parent so young is devistating. I have to go to church but i will back later to read what else might be new.

Nice to see you "FED UP IN ODESSA". I am so glad that all turned out with these teen boys. I believe the Lord puts things in front of us for a reason, we can stick our heads in the sand and pretend we never saw it, or...we can learn from what we see and be the wiser because of it. Same goes in this situation. We should never have to fight for what is right, for the safety of the public or our fine officers. JUSTICE FOR MIKE!

Look. I saw Officer Holt in the patrol car THIS MORNING at approx. 10 a.m. decked out in all black "cop garb", looking rather "bulky" up top, as they all do as they are wearing a bulletproof vest (as well they should be these days..ha ha) and a police jacket complete with patches and stuff. I would think if the man were still on "administrative leave" he wouldn't have been in a patrol car. The man was on duty, I'm sorry to break it to ya.

To put your mind at ease, I have talked with the appropriate people and these two officers involved in Mike's death are not on duty. They will not be on duty as long as this investigation is ongoing. Please, don't believe everything you hear. Have patients my friends, justice will be served. I know it's hard to sit back and wait, but all eyes ARE on Breckenridge and the outcome of this case. In the mean time, Let's not let the Breckenridge rumor mill change how we know we should act. That makes us no better than those that caused this pain. Most of you know you can trust me and I would never lie for anyone. These officers are NOT ON DUTY! JUSTICE FOR MIKE!!!

This senseless act reeks of injustice and we can not sit back idly and accept this situation as it has passed. It is of essential importance to make it known that excessive violence, especially when brought upon by people established to protect the public, can not and will not be tolerated. A Great Man has lost his life and we can not allow him to become just another person that has been lost to deadly and unwarranted police reactions.

You may wonder why I chose the particular name that I did. I am sad because a man lost his life. A great man from all I have heard. I mourn for his family and I mourn for his friends. But I must wait before passing judgment on these officers. I want to see what the Ranger's find out. Too many rumor's are floating around, too many assumptions are taken as fact. Justice for Mike is a wonderful idea. But don't let grief pervert it into revenge for Mike. Justice is wanted by all but this road goes both ways.
