I just spoke to my Biological mother that lives in Plano and she said the story was on the news this past week and they are saying that a gun was pulled and pointed at the cops. I straightened out the story and told her to read reporter news website and she said that she would. SO good news is that the story has make it to Dallas but the bad news is the news isn't correct. Just thought I'd give a little of my updated information for what its worth.

I will be placing a candle at the sitting park on the north/west corner of Breckenridge Ave. and Walker at 6:30pm (12-6-08). Visitation with Mikes family and friends is from 4:00-6:00pm. Please feel free to place a candle, card, or flowers there also to represent a prayer for peace and justice for all of our community. That we may heal, not hate. Mike was a loving man and we all thought speak highly of his character. Maybe we can start asking ourselves, what would Mike do? He would stand up beside his neighbor(even if they did not agree) and he would fight for justice (even if it proved him wrong), and he would leave this town in a little better shape than he found it for his children, their children, and the future of Breckenridge...OUR HOME TOWN! I would like to have music there because Mike loved music and it soothes the soul.Nothing big. I need some help with this, any volunteers? You can contact me via e-mail posted above. Please spread the word. You may wear your shirts if you like. I think this time it's ok to wear the same shirt two days in a row! lol Goodnight Breckenridge family, Good night Mike. We love and miss you. GOD, PLEASE BLESS US WITH TRUTH AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. AMEN

I'm not just defending brekenridge pd. but defending the badge. Its been this way forever "the public pissing on the badge" its funny how people set and piss on this situation alone! when evryday cops die trying to do the perfect thing, point being we are all human and with opionions. but let's ponder this ?. when was the last time you were in a life or death situation? where you had to make a split decision and pray it is the perfect thing to do. its like complaining and not voting. if you yourself have never been in the line of life and death "and do it for a job everyday" then shut up! set at your computer where it safe and type away! this is my last message, I HAVE TO GO PROTECT LIVES MAYBE EVEN YOURS OR YOUR LOVED ONES!
i'm a retired cop that just happens to live in this area. i almost always side with the officer when force has been used. however this time the officer made a serious mistake that cost a good man his life. i don't know what went wrong, was it lack of training or experience??? ether way this cop is going to have to live with this the rest of his life. if he remains on the job, every time he responds to an incident he will be second guessing him self. my family and i have had dealings with the local pd. for the most part they were professional. however a couple times the officers either did'nt know their jobs or did not care. this cop was wrong and made a bad decision. there is no way around that fact!!!!

ol grumpy, i have a great big "AMEN" for you!
that is what we are tring to get across. NO not all police are bad. i have known a few good ones that have done there job right and with a caring badge! i dont care what people say Ron Wagman as helped me when no one eles would, when no other cop was brave enough to!. he did it with a caring badge! yes even jermy balckman help me out with that same deal! i can sit hear and name a few more that i have known to be good and still are. but my list would be longer for the bad! i know the cops that murdered my cousin are going to have to live with it, but that being said , it seems to me that they are living pretty good at the moment s holt is drinking and having parties! dont seem to me its bothering him!

You probally dont like me very much, due to who i was married to back then, but believe me iv'e changed for the better. funny what getting rid of a lowlife piece of crap husband and marrying a real man will do for ya. Iv'e said stuff about baker on here and i'd rather not give up my idenity right now. But I usd to be at Albert and Ginia's house on a daily basis. With a little thought I am sure you can figure it out. by the way is your uncle shahan still a cop?
No Shahan is not still a cop, he hasn't been a cop for along time! I think I know who you are do you have a daughter with your ex husband? Justice for Mike!!

My heart aches for all of you. The city and people of Breckenridge have had a year of sorrow. Please stop and think of both sides of this tragedy. A man lost his life in a physical sense another has lost his in a whirl wind of rumors and guilt. Gun,no gun, the end is the same he had to take another man's life for what ever reason and that has a ripple effect on himself and his family that none of us can understand unless we have been there ourselves. There will be justice served and all men shall pay for their sins in the end we all answer to god!!! I to know the Jackson family they are a great and strong family. I grew up in Breckenridge my paryers are with you all!! Please realize come next election time that you have a chance to change the elected officials that run your town and if you don't vote then can't complain about the way things go.. If you are unhappy get rid of the "good old boys club".
As for leaving Breckenridge that is not the answer. I left and am glad I did because I love my life, job, and my husband here in Portland but there is nothing like the "pride of Breckenridge, Tx" Please be proud of who you are and join together as a community to support each other in this time of grief and sorrow. Don't spread rumors and make speculations donate your time to raise money for Mike and his family and put your faith in God. Pray for your enemies and friends alike. May there be peace in Breckenridge, Texas this Holiday season.. God Bless

Now I might not have been a stand up citizen in the town of breckenridge in the 25 years that i did live there, but i do know about how the police are there and what is done when there is noone else around. The police there are CORRUPT as. I know i have been in the jail there many of times as a trustee where you see what goes on.How about the time that the sherriff Jim Reeves let people in a cell to beat the crap out of someone with bars of soap in socks for being too loud then the sherriff buy's the trustees 2 pizzas for doing it. Also I was once passed out in a car passengers seat i remind you when i got ran down with at least 10 officers with guns drawn and get drug out of the car and taken to jail with an evading arrest charge. I don't doubt any of CORRUPTNESS of that towns police officers because i have seen it with my own two eyes. I have had friends die there at hands of the cops of breckenridge and nothing has ever done anything about it. It is all just swept under the rug just like everyone else sais. And Mike had two kids on top of that what do they do now? To the cops of breckenridge I hope ya"ll all rot in hell cause KARMA is a bitch!!!
