Anyone else notice, he renewed his license
April 1st--( April FOOL's day )
I don't care how clean his record is, it won't bring those people back. AWG should be sued.
The driver should remain behind bars, his personal assets sold to give something back to the families of the people he killed

my heart goes out to all the families and loved ones involved.
I would like to know about the 1st wreck. What was the cause of it? If there were troopers on the scene for that one, then why wasn't there a trooper setting back aways with lights on warning of something ahead.

i would also love to hear his side of the story, at least hes had a couple of days to knit his web of lies. theres no excuse, he didnt even slow down. how do you not slow down? just because his record is clean, lets get his toxicology tests back. this is manslaughter, 2nd degree, in my opinion

You weren't driving that truck, just like me or anyone else on this forum. The ONLY person that knows what happened inside that rig is the driver!

How do we know that there wasn't an equipment failure or that he fell asleep behind the wheel?

Simple answer: WE DON'T!

how many of you have come upon an accident on the interstate? im not making any excuses for the driver but sometimes it happens that fast. i do truly feel for the families and i also feel for the driver and his family. that is a feeling i would not like to ever feel and i wish on no one else EVER. you can all say what you want but its an accident, and until proven differently you should all treat it as that.

It takes approximately 100 yards to slow down a fully loaded truck (78-80,000 lbs). I have driven a truck through there a thousand times and you are unable to see over the hills to the other side, and there are several of them. He could have slammed his brakes on and it wouldn't have mattered. The OHP normally has a unit slowing traffic down several miles back during an accident of this kind, unless it had just happened. For all of you people that have never driven a large vehicle on highways where cars constanly pull right in front of you, SHUTUP! I would do anything to meet up with one of you impatient clowns and show you what a real f-ing crime is!!!!!!

I agree with you, troopers should have been there, they should have known the first accident was gonna happen.....LMAO....

Easy there... I can't count how many times I have had an 80,000 lb truck fly up behind me and ride my bumper when I have no way to get over quickly on a two lane highway. The problem is there are way too many people on the road who are careless and overly aggressive... IT"S DANGEROUS. This was not an "accident", it was a preventable catastrophe due to negligence. If you can't see over a hill then SLOW DOWN. If you are tired then pull over and take a nap. If you don't heve time to stop it's because you are not driving safely. If you were looking at something other than the raod traveling at 75 mph+ it is YOUR FAULT.

I totally agree with Skenny and Whatever. This is a horrible accident, but it is clearly an ACCIDENT. For all the people who are saying he should go to prison, and should pay for what he is done, is very wrong. If they were in the truck driver's position, he will never forget this, and is need of alot of prayers right now. Could you imagine being responsible for 10 deaths. I know myself,(I am young, have perfect vision and alert) have came across a group of stopped cars in the middle of the highway and almost hit them myself. Wrecks like this happen all the time, you shouldnt judge when you werent in this man's shoe's.

accident one can't be accountable for the actions of another inattentive driver! unless your the guardian of a minor. truck driver will be accountable by most likely losing his job since his employer will be the one paying through their insurance company. truck driver will also get ticketed and will face vechicular manslaughter since he caused accident two which resulted in death. most likely the end of his driving priveleges.

If they were in a kinda rolling stop... going thru the other accident as a witness said real slowly...there would not be brake lights...
