Colorado skiing: More snow, more terrain opening
The early November storm cycle that dropped several feet of snow on northern Colorado has enabled many resorts to help open more terrain.

I remember my dad chaining up the old 58 Ford station wagon full of screaming kids and going for it, just so he could strap on his wooden 30 foot skis-(seemed like it), lace up boots, and spring bindings, no closures, no traffic, no snow plows.
And you know what, I70 corridor hasn’t been improved much since then, thank you Dick Lamm your "if we don't build it they won't come" policy.
We are still paying for this special interest payback.
Forget the 250 million dollar per year “zipper lanes”, WIDEN THE F_R_E_A_K_I_N HIGHWAY!

Being someone that's totally behind business in Colorado, not only the ski industry but similarly - energy on public land, I had to laugh at the somewhat blunder Fox31 made this week.
Headline morning news story- "record powder at all major resorts, new terrain at Vail, while showing video of a skier bashing down a mogul field in waist high power- truly heaven on earth"
This story was immediately followed buy live reports of Loveland pass closed, Berthold pass closed, various truck jack knifes on I70 causing closure at both directions of tunnel.
Widen the highway, that's all.
