I am planning a trip to Breckenridge in January and am wondering about what type of rental car to get. We began by looking at SUV's, but for really only needing the car to get to and from the airport and possibly a drive to Vail, I don't see it being worth that amount of money. We are now looking at full size sedans which are about $150 less. My worry is in the case there is a snow storm and/or bad road conditions are we going to have a problem in a sedan. We want to be safe and sound, but are wondering if the extra bucks is worth it. Any advice is welcome!!

They are pretty good about keeping the main roads clear after snows. One of those big storms, well.. it won't matter what you have, short of a military Hummer.. lol. Seriously though, front drive,or AWD and a full size sedan should be fine for most travel. Myself, I like the heft and weight of a 4wd SUV, but that's just me.
