Tell us how good they would be. we all should be proud of sll the kids that live in La Mirada reguardless of which program they play for remember they had a choice and decided to go somewhere else because they didn't like the rules LM Popeye wrote: <quoted text> GU11 Whittier Strikers (aka SC Revolution) advanced to the sweet 16. Darn good team, played great against a good opponent. Has a chance to go deep with a little luck. LMSA GU11 lost in a close one. The Strikers are the girls who left because of differences with the LMSA Board. Imagine how good our LMSA team would be if LMSA Board learned that finding ways to serve ALL our kids is the best way to serve our kids. My way or the highway just sucks

Only 2-3 of them join the Sig team already there? Or play rec? Or leave as a team and play higher caliber teams? Please explain what choice that team had, that would have benefited all the girls?

Well everyone is done. At least all the local teams, both club and rec tried.
They did ok But they were only really playing in the lowest level of a Cal South Club tournament.
They took the first step up. Good for them but they all have a way to go to have something to really brag about.
Not to degrade all this but it really shows if they want to really compete at the next level club is the way to go.

Lets not put down what the La Mirada teams (All La Mirada Player teams) have done, whether with LMSA, Xplosion or Strikers FC. Governors Cup is based on out of around 130 teams in each age division, including signature. around 65 chose to compete in the state cup. La Mirada had several teams make it to the best of 32, then best of 16. that means out of 130 possible teams, they are in the top 16, from Santa Barabara to Bakersfield to San Diego. They all deserve to be congratulated properly, not DEGRADED, by an (Experienced Coach) who doesn't see what these teams have actually accomplished. Out of those 16 teams in the state cup, how many of them are teams made up of kids from 1 city??? Only La Mirada's SO COACHES OF THESE TEAMS SHOULD BE VERY HAPPY.

some clubs win but who cares when all the kids are learning is to act like idiots. albert at xplosion has never gotten through a tournament without acting like a complete unsportsmanlike jerk. thus either he gets carded or his players who act just like him do. once again, a red card to a player who can't control himself just like his coach. this is NOT success for youth sports

Strikers BU12 rolled through first round of pool play, 1-0, 3-0 and 4-0 (with a finishing percentage of about 10%!). On to the Round of 32! Great job by Coach Leon and the BU12 LMSA Sig team, too!

It's sad to read that an adult would call a 12 year old boy an unsportsmanlike jerk. The boys from Xplosion have worked hard and have been together for a long time. I Don't know why you need to put our coach and team down. My son didn't act like a jerk. I am proud of my son no matter what and he loves the game of soccer...We advanced and are looking forward to play as a team with Coach Albert....

Anyone can claim to be a coach, but few real are the Real Coach. Every Year for the past 4 years and this year has been an awesome start of year for the few selected onto Coach Albert's Team. looking at their record this Team has been among the Top Teams and has brought home the Bling to prove it, not to many Coach's can claim such a record. Yes, The XplosionSC Team did advance at President's Cup (State Cup) this past Weekend/And NO he did not get a card or was asked to have a seat; Instead, he tended to his injured players. Its difficult to understand when you pay more and still get Referees in training?

I forgot to mention that he also said "kids learning to act like idiots", "or his players who act just like him do", "once again, a red card to a player who can't control himself just like his coach". Again, I can't stress this enough. These are kids have been playing for along time as a team. We don't need your pity. I'm not sure what happened with you with our team or if you even played for us but children should not be called these types of names. I don't hide behind a fake name because I want you to know who I am and that my son is not an unsportsmanlike jerk. If you call kids having fun with a sport they love, learning more about the sport, advancing faster than what we ever imagined "chugging the Gomez kool aid" then I signed up for the right team.
