A document shredding company just pulled up to the school. Timing is interesting with court dates coming up.

A bittersweet Spring Fling tonight...so hard to say goodbye to such good families and teachers. Much thanks and appreciation to all the teachers who continue to be there for our children until the end. I will never forget how you put the students first.

Yes indeed! Hopefully SB can come back to what it once was...this should have never happened! Still can't believe it!

It will never recover. There are too many variables that need to change. Everything must change and Carvahlo destroyed this environment.

In the same neighborhood, Granada Middle School teacher Charles Brautigam has been charged and suspended or fired for inappropriate relationships with females students and a bunch of other charges. Parents have been complaining for a long time and finally the district did something.

Why does it take so long to take action?

I saw those rumors on the topix forum, too. There's nothing in the news or on Megan's website. Search st. Bruno on WWW and first thing that pops up is STALKER NON-DISCLOSURE, etc.........So sad because we were once known for being a great school that offered a wonderful community and an exceptional education.

The weekly school newsletter is a cry for help and insight of the ineptness of the administration. The administration will not address our written question without confirming the author but they sent a voicemail 3-4 weeks ago addressing rumors about combining classes. The administration should be aggressive and speak to the families of 100 children that are returning versus responding to rumors and this blog. Absolutely no leadership

What the newsletter is also saying is that neither she OR her "guest speaker" will be taking any questions tomorrow. She will stand at that podium and blow sunshine up everyone's ass about how great things are going to be after a miserable year. That way her supporters, however few are left, can point and say..."see she's doing everything for the school and no one appreciates her..."

Basically she is firing the good teachers...promoting the bad teachers....combining classes, because well, lets see, 7th grade will only have 6 kids next year. Oh and writing to read is gone and scrip thresholds are going up.

There that's the parent meeting....oh and once again....

FU Carvalho FU! You are a gutless, heartless woman....

What's your problem?!? Obviously you are part of the great exodus. So, thank you for gracing us with your departure:)

As for your need to post updates about anything and everything negative that will be happening at St. Bruno...let us deal with that! It is not YOUR problem any longer! Now is it?

May everyone enjoy their new respective schools...and please move on.

Let the rest enjoy the "sunshine blowing up our asses"

Seriously...just let it go. Life is short, you don't need to continue carrying this weight on your shoulders. To each his own:)

If it bothers you....why read it? Believe it or not parents come to this site for information. Isn't it sad that parents get information from a stupid blog like this rather than their own school administration. I know it's easier going through life with blinders on but some of us want to know. Make an appointment with your administration and ask them why they can't answer questions in public and why they can't answer them before you have to reach into your pockets. If they believe in full disclosure there shouldn't be any reason for parents to be posting. Savvy?

The mighty st Bruno has fallen. The children leaving are behind in every subject when compared to other schools. It is so sad that the school is no longer educating the children. Those staying are jeopardizing their children's futures

Don't forget to say good by to the loyal qualified teachers that were not asked to return.

RIP education at bruno

Do you actually believe that the few people who are staying are only the Carvalho butt-kissers? Of course not, many are staying due to certain circumstances. I know several who don't want to pull their kids because they want them to graduate with their class. You know, the 30+ kids they have grown up with for 8 years?

So to think that these posts are being writtne by those who are leaving is simply naive. I am certain that a few are but many go here to vent, it is the only outlet, not too mention we get real information, unlike the bullshit Carvalho shovels for all to believe.

The principal may be in complete denial or just does not know basic math. The info about the numbers from the carnival are being misrepresented. The number she should be concerned about is her retention numbers. These number are serious. She had chased 180 children approx 60% of the school. An absolute failure. This number is being added to daily. The parents are realizing that the education is no longer at SB

I am one of those 7th-soon to be 8th grade patents. Still deciding whether to keep my child at St Bruno. My heart hurts to see what has happened to this once dynamic school. The only reason keeping me here is the fact that my child has been with this class since kinder and thst I have only one year left to put up with this horrific administration. My family avoids the school and church as much as possible, the loving atmosphere that was fostered is gone. Relationships with other families are ruined. For the first time ever, I question value of the education my child is getting. For those families that do decide to stay, especially the 8th graders, the majority do not support the school, most of us just want to get the next year over with and then get out of dodge.

To keep your kids in a school that is failing in education, leadership, failing in every way just so they can graduate with their friends is ABSURD! I'm sure all the kids that started with your kids in Kinder are gone or will be gone. Graduating with your original class is NOT going to happen in any class! You are obviously one of those parents where your child is in charge instead of you. Kids are resilient. Believe me they will get over it. Education should be more important than "socializing and friendships". Your an adult, you know friendships come and go and the chances that your kids friends now will remain life long friends is pretty slim. Be a parent and do the right thing for your kids and don't worry if little missy cries. Tell your kids that your the parent and you will make the best choice for them. Life is hard and it goes on. Don't enable your kids. What doesn't kill them makes them stronger. You should want more for your kids them to remain at that toxic soon to be ghost town of a school. And if their friends are "real friends" they will remain friends with or without St. Bruno's!
