I had the privilege of being trained by and working with Zolton. He was a great man and I am proud to have been able to call him my friend. He will be missed. God bless him and his family.

"The Final Inspection"

The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges
can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."

Deputy Tombol was a great dude. I also had the privilige to meet and be trained by him in the LASD Academy at Star Center. He will definately be missed by his family, his department, and by other officers and recruits that he trained from other agencies throughout LA County. RIP Brother!

what could have been so bad? We are all facing trying times and bad bad times..He had aloving wife and son.
There must have been another way. It was truly a selfish act. His family will suffer forever.

I can only imagine what his family is going through. For those suggesting he should have just talked to someone, he could have done that and then taken his life. Someone close to me sought help from his dept and they got the ball rolling so fast he was out of a job. He has never stopped being a cop in his heart, no matter what he loved that job then hated every career he ever into. In my opinion he is going crazy not being a cop, they let him go after 10 yrs when he went to see someone for stress.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
