If booze is legal then pot should be legal!
#15677 Mar 24, 2013
the opium wars??
are you serious??
I think the lifting of alcohol prohibition would be a MUCH better analogy to what might happen if weed prohibition was lifted
peoples lives would cease to be ruined by the law.
cancer patients would get better medicne and survive more often.
and recreational smokers everywhere would light up....
last time i checked, berkely and seattle were still there.
and productivity was inact...
as for brain dead......you jUST need some education..
you arnt exactly brain dead, just ignorant and recalcitrant.
....not to mention brainwashed!!!
so far I havnt seen you post any stats on how "dangerous" smoking pot is.
I suspect you cant find any...
if one were to believe you, while weighing the sheer amount of bud this country smokes now??
they would believe it was falling apart.
which the OPPOSITE of what is actually happening.

of course he is going to SAY he was just trying it.
his endorsements are worth tens of millions a year.
no one who is JUST TRYING weed for the first time, uses a huge bong like that.
and then posts it on the internet.
#15680 Mar 24, 2013
the last three presidents have at some time used marijuana....
Obama dealt bags of pot in HS.
he said so in his book.
he refered to it as "that life"
#15681 Mar 24, 2013
unless of course one of the other, non psychotropic chemicals found in it, cures terminal diseases!!
WTF is wrong with you??
pot is no stronger than alcohol...
and you are the worlds silliest hypocrit...
#15682 Mar 24, 2013
More reasons to give them a quick trial and then hang them horse thieves.
Make them buy the rope too and wooden box.
#15683 Mar 24, 2013
why is that???
why so paranoid?
the death penalty??/
yeah for like 40000 plants....
wake up, MMJ has been accepted at the state level in 19 states, and dc. including here in california first.
this started years ago...(1996)
what rock have you been hiding under.
i thought you republicans were all about states rights??
i guess that depends on the subject, right??(hypocrit)
the kelly decision(jan/2010) basically threw out the limits originally outlined in prop 215.(MMJ)
.....and refered the amount each patient can grow, or consume each year to their doctors discreation.
you need to know more about the laws here in california....if you are going to rave on like a lunatic, about how evil weed is.
the federal governemnt is REALLY only concerned with really big gardens(like 1000 plants or more on federal land) or cases that have interstate interest to them..
......... and also dispensaries, but that was last year...now that obama has been re-elected, that election year crackdown has slacked off.
death penalty!! you crack me up.
when clubs are raided by the feds???..dispensary owners just move and open up later that week
my doctors reccomendation is for
2 ounces a week....period... no exceptions.
I think I can live with that.
ps; california is likely going the same way colorado and washington state have.......that is recreational MJ.
and then MANY more states in the next decade.

didn't I just point out that is what the problem is on capitol hill?
politicians being brain dead and all.
the fact that you didn't catch on to what I said maybe indicative of your situation too.

you make it sound like everyone who tries marijuana is an addict.
sounds like an addict making the case for legalizing the stuff.

the usa is not the only country in the world, genius.
and yes, just for your information.. many countries in the world carry the death penalty for using or dealing with the stuff.

drug addicts will lie to get their hit. they will even kill for it if is necessary to do so.
yeah. I have this feeling that the stuff will be legalized in many states.
all I can say is... get ready for the consequences. brain dead decisions made by brain dead people will increase.
#15689 Mar 25, 2013
as someone who has traveled through south east asia....
i know exactly what you mean.
they are WAY strickter about marijuana.
but were not in asia...
were in california..
get a grip.
the penalties have become MUCH less severe in recent years in most counties......because they simply cannot lock people up for growing, when there are so many other customers to the criminal industrial complex.
in fact, up here, they cant even lock up real violent criminals for long......
if you are here in california?? you must know what ab 109 is.
prison "re-alignment" makes it so judges cant lock too many new people up...
recenntly this chick stabbed her boyfriend 6 times(and the guy was pressing charges) and she ONLY got sentenced to 6 months in county.
locking up small time marijuanan growers??
dont be ridiculous...
there is simply no space for them.
and so it should be, as no one should be denied their freedom for which herbal medicine they choose to grow.
#15690 Mar 25, 2013
drug addicts?? killing for a hit of marijuana??
what planet do you live on....???
marijuana has been popular since the 1960's
im still waiting for for all the brain dead people...
college graduation rates are highER THAN they were 50 years ago.
if anything this country is going more liberal....
as shown by the last 6 presidential elections....
the democrats have won 4 of them, as well the the poular vote in 2000.
#15691 Mar 25, 2013
they are brain dead because they are for continuing prohibition.
your drug war was lost years ago.
as marijuana is more popular than ever.
each year more and more small farms pop up.
there is about to be a HUGE WAVE of recreation legalization....
state by state.
there is little the government can do at this point, except legalize it. any other course would be a huge waste.
especially when we have politicians screaming and kicking about the debt.
#15692 Mar 25, 2013
far from it....
there are users at all levels.
the good thing is, is that more people are eating it and vaporizing it, as opposed to JUST smoking it.
you get more CBD's(cannabidoil) when you ingest it orally.
smoking somewhat kills that effect.
AND..there are lots of people making the case for lifting prohibition....other than pot heads.
people like ron paul and gary johnson, who just want the failed war on drugs to end.....

It appears that you have nothing to say hiding behind high times. or norml.com here is what the Medical Doctors are saying: The body makes its own cannabis-like chemicals, called endocannabinoids.(doesn't mean putting pot in your body helps) Cannabis has both physical and behavioural effects. People using cannabis can experience feelings of euphoria (well-being), hunger, sleepiness, problems with motor coordination, and sometimes feelings of anxiety and paranoia. Chemicals in the cannabis plant attach to proteins in the brain called CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors are located on cells in the brain called neurons. Normal brain functions, like memory and decision-making, rely on these neurons communicating with each other, and CB1 receptors help to ‘fine tune’ this communication. So if cannabis compounds attach to these CB1 receptors, they can disrupt the normal regulation of communication in the brain.
We know that people who use cannabis, particularly earlier in life, are at greater risk of developing illnesses like schizophrenia, and of an earlier onset of these illnesses. We also see that in the brains of people with schizophrenia, there are changes in the molecules of the endocannabinoid system.

I agree that just like gay marriage it will be legal in the near future. Invest in Drug & Alcohol Treatment centers. Anderson seems like proof it's not good for some people. I know others that use it, maybe a lot less often that seem to be just fine.
