I am so sorry to read about this. It is such a tragic ending to a young and hopeful life. My prayers go out to the family, friends and co-workers that are grieving her loss.
I am really happy that TGIF's is trying to help her family out.

My sincere sympathy to Tasia's family. She was our son's friend. We had the privelege of taking her to church one Sunday morning. She was bright, sweet, and looked forward to a great future. I think that she was taken before her time, and my heart breaks for so many young people out there who's lives are cut short. Rest in peace beautiful Tasia. Our prayers go out to her family.

Yeah you are a victim if you are naive enough to think she didn't know what she was getting herself into. She made the choice to be with someone who was obviously abusive. If it WAS her boyfriend, I could bet a million dollars she knew it was bound to happen. I've been in that kind of relationship and some girls just aren't strong enough to walk away. Life goes on.

Most people are now raised to believe it is never their fault. They can throw caution to the wind and always blame someone else. It's pathetic.

Regarding abusive guys...there are almost always signs of what he capable of. Many women choose to ignore them.

MY condolences to Latasia's family and friends. I knew her, not too personally but she was a very lovely young lady. She always had a smile on her face and full of life. She had so much going for her. She will be missed.....

just to clarify, her boyfriend was only a suspect for the 1st 24 hours, he was out with friends that night and has a witness to prove it. That being said she was not the "dumb" girl that someone has made her out to be, and that her killer is still out there somewhere. Justice will be served to that person. Tasia you may be gone from this world but you are still here in spirit with us and thats why we continue to celebrate your life.

i am so saddened to hear this i went to school with latasia in 4th and 5th grade..we were really close and kept in touch up until we got into high school.i remember going swimming at her grandpas house during the summers and also remember going 2 see her mom @ tgif fridays.latasia was such a sweet girl..may she rest in peace and sleep with the angels<3 she is in a better place. my condolences to her mom & brother lamar my sincerest condolences to them.
