This is prime burn country; it burned in 2003, and the next big fire is scheduled to occur in 10 or 20 years. That is just the natural sequence. It is also mudslide country, and building may threaten the power lines.

A typical Republican, Miller wants the taxpayers to pay exorbitant firefighting (and other) costs for the sake of fattening his already thick wallet. But, he will claim that will not raise taxes because we can always cut funding for schools, and the sick and poor.
