I think its a conspiracy by neighboring La Raza's to get the old ladies property. They have been trying to get a foothold in the Downey area for years. And who rats her out ? some social parasite living off his "future" in-laws. And what kind of parents would have their daughters Common law husband living under their roof. I think thats the real story. Not some poor old lady deprived of her pets. I have a strong feeling their going to be fumigating the wrong house.

I with other post, the neighbor next door adult married children living with parents. Leave the old lady alone. Help her clean her yard. Be neighborly.

What I meant to say was that the real shame belongs with the neighbor next door. Adult married couple living with parents. Animal Control and neighbors should work together to help this lady. She did'nt harm any animals, she probably just wants to help them.

The paper did not mention for her good about the drug raid on her home, the tenant that committed suicide by blowing his head off in her home, and not to mention the other tenant that went on a shooting rampage a few years back shooting a shotgun out of the second story of her home. Then there is her sone who died there of a drug overdose! Nobody is after her property, believe it! There were dead pets found by animal control on her property numerous times and she declined the city's help over and over. Sounds like the perfect neighbors for Just-Rog and Hacienda Heights and then lets see if they say " POOR OLD LADY " They are just a couple of sorry individuals that hide behind blogs.

What a sad story. The saddest part, though, is that this old lady really needs help...but appears to refuse it from the City...and nobody close to her seems to be responsible enough to do the right thing. ;>(

obviously if the judge, the city, code enforcement, animal control, social services all got involved then there were good reasons. Can't blame neighbors everyone has the right to live in peace and without nusiance. So i guess from a couple of bloggers all the officials were in the wrong and dont know how to do their job.......Yeah right! Where is this ladies family? Cant they help her with her property? For the city to step in she must have not complied with requests, she is lucky if the city does nothing more! City's now of days don't take situations like hers lightly, maybe it is time she be in a home....Animal droppings inside the house? Come on. Would Blogger # 2 & 3 let there parents live in conditions like that. And if they feel so bad why dont they go to this lady's house and clean it up for her?

This poor lady has been through alot in her life as "informed" has said. From the sounds of it she doens't have any family or any family that is worth a damn. All she has are these animals. Her neighbors sound are ruthless and vendictive and very "me" oriented. Why didn't they care for this elderly lady and help her out? I feel so bad for this lady and her animals. How about sending city workers to clean it up once a week? How about a little compassion for crying out loud for a human being for once. Arse backwards people.

You know yes it may sound like everyone is picking on her, however in all honesty as long as i can remember going on atleast 10 years now people have tried to help this lady. We purchased a dog from this lady years ago when he was a little boy and the conditions then in her backyard were terrible as they are now. It's unfortunate that alot of people speak without knowing facts but her. Her home is in terrible condition. And as for what "informed" said majority of that is true, her home was raided for drug sales because of her tenants, a tenant did shoot a shot gun out of the window and the entire neighborhood was closed off i rushed my sons in the house when i heard the shots and seen the police at her home and one of her tenants did commit suicide. For those that don't know she does have a problem and the city has been to her home way more times than anyone should have them at their home and they did offer help multiple times but she declines and tells them no! As a matter of fact a few years ago a few neighbors got together and had Helping Hands go to her property and help her clean for free and we were told by Helping Hand the Ms. Vining declined their services and told them to get the hell off her property. You can't help someone that dont want to help themselves. Thank god things are getting done, because alot of people have tried to help her including her nieghbors but she refuses. The cat problem is that bad at her home. It got so bad that when i would walk my dog around the block i seen her mulitple times pick up cats feces with her bare hands and her little dog that they took away did have some issues. Her children need to help her but none of the neighbors have seen them for a few years now..... That't truely the sad part about this. Her son who used to help her around the house had issues and died a few years back of a drug overdose he used to be friends with my son when they where younger but he chose another path. I just wonder where is her daughter and aother son who could be helping her and making sure that she is o.k.

Sounds to me like her tenants took advantage of an elderly lady that probably doesn't have all her falcultys or at the very least street smarts. And yes I think it's horrible that her family isn't there for her. Which makes it all the more needed that the community around her needs to step up. She probably won't be around much longer. You may be annoyed with her right now, but most likely she doesn't have that long to live. Just an idea maybe the neighborhood could make a pack to each take turns looking after her. You will not just be helping her but building a caring neighborhood and teaching the children compassion.

Is this a nazi community now where the city can take your animals from you because you have cat feces on your own lawn? This is ridiculous and cruel. Were all other options exhausted?

Go talk to Nick Guerrero, the ladies neighbor. Evidently, he decided to wage a one man war against this lady with the City. He forced City officials into reacting. It's a sad situation, but the I really think the City was trying to walk a thin line between listening to Mr. Guerrero and taking the welfare of the lady into consideration.

You should be careful though with your reactionary posts that lack any facts.

FACT: This lady made her life what it is today.
FACT: Society failed her after she failed herself.
FACT: She is now driving on a suspended license.

QUESTION: Anyone here going to help her out of this situation or at least drive her around town?

FACT: Probably not!
FACT: Talk is cheap...
