it is to early to make any type of conclusions. If there is new evidence that this young man was wrongly convicted , his attorney's should file the proper appeal paperwork. This case should not be played out in the court of public opinion. These are extremely serious allegations and currently there is still a victim in this case until proven otherwise. it states in the article that she is willing to help Brian, but if people start ridiculing her that could make her back away. let the new evidence be heard in the proper arena. the court room let the judge, prosecutors and defense attorney's decide if a crime occurred.

After reading the article it appears there is definitely sufficient reason to review this case.
Victim tries to befriend her alledged attacker on facebook. She meets with his attorney's and states she was not raped. She also stated that it was the campus security that said she was raped, she never stated she was raped Admits to some heavy petting. She is willing to help him clear his name , but she is concerned about having to pay back the money she recieved in the settlement. There is some problems with this story. Not sure what the problems are, but it is worth the effort on both his and her behalf to review this case. The young man is adamant that sexual intercourse never occurred and this story makes your quetion who is telling the truth.

IMHO the Innocence Project should be focusing its limited resources on the men and women who were wrongfully convicted (allegedly) and sentenced to long prison terms or LWOP. This young man's situation is regrettable but he's out after a short stint in prison and his victim got a sweet payout from the school district.

Did anyone check to see if this woman really got $1.5 million from the school district. I'm thinking of two women who got killed, and LBUSD fought like crazy to avoid paying anything. Why would they agree to pay this woman a lot of money for rape.

The two women were the woman who moved in with her teacher at Wilson, and then the teacher killed her; and Melody Ross, fatally shot outside a Wilson-Poly football game.
