' Compounding' pharmacist puts to gether what a doctor prescribes, you idiot, just like any other medication that crosses a pharmacy counter. There very few who will compound meds. Docs luv 'em. They can order liquid compound pill drugs that children can take, for one instance only.
Once I had a dog that needed heart med. It only came in pills. She couldn't swallow them. Parmacist made it in fluid for her and me. You are stupid!!

Ashok Patel is the only compounding pharmacist in Terre Haute. Ashok, you are a pharmacist, not a researcher or PHD of chemistry. The pharmaceutical industry such as Eli Lilly and Pfizer are held to a much higher and stringent FDA audits. Basically, when they make it, you are safer. When a pharmacist makes it, you are exposed to a higher risk of contaimantion and infiltrates. Therefore, you are exposed to a higher risk of illness such as seen in the article above.

Your right! The only thing is it's a pain in the butt to do. With pharmacys being so busy a lot of them won't or can't compound.

Agree.
If these procedures aren't in place or not used as a set of standards we are all merely lab rats.
