Larry Switzer's son Chris Switzer. Not only is he a great person but he is also someone who stands out from his generation of people. Hard working, intelligent and just another reason to take your vehicle to Switzer auto repair. Keep up the good work chris!

Hopefully Brad has gotten better at his profession. I remember him botching quite a few paint jobs when he was at Sycamore.

Brad bought Blackburns on contract. Let's see if he can make the payments when Blackburn couldn't. BK and Heck won't put up with a deadbeat payer!

Maybe you should talk to brad about your issues instead of slamming on him like a sissy on a forum. Man-up or shut up!

killa b.....

Instead of running your mouth why don't you read and understand the original question and the replies???

The question was about the quality of a paintjob available in Terre Haute. One of the answers made a comment to Brad's past as a painter and only after another poster mentioned his name.

Asked and answered...

Just because Brad bought on contract Blackburn's, doesn't mean he owns the place free and clear and can do what he wants as a result. He has a hefty loan to replay. With that comes the need for quality work which means repeat business, and that pays the mortgage!!

Nobody wants a vehicle that was repaired and repainted in the first place, but to have runs in the paint certainly exaserbates the situation.

AGAIN.... asked and answered!

I hope for Brad's sake he has improved his painting ability so he can have a chance at beating the odds on surviving the place where nobody else could.

Brad at Blackburn. Scotts custom colors. Bob at Honey Creek Collision. All of these people repair vehicles to the same quality they would there own. Everybody has done some things in their employment that they are not proud of and have made some disenters. Lets dont condemn a person or two that have made mistakes and THEN CORRECTED THEM
in a courteous professional way. I had bryants do a car for me several years ago and the match was so bad on the paint it looked as if a kid did it. Woulda been ok had they corrected it but the owner, I recall his name as bill, argued that "its a computer match!" Well, who cares when I could see the difference as I was approaching their lot. If they had corrected it I would have been fine, but he was NASTY and told me to take it somewhere else....so I did.

Strandberg in Paris is the place to go if you want quality experienced work done with an excellent paint job. I had work done by him 16yrs ago and it still looks great.

Really?! So you think they would be better at serving coffee and donuts oh what? Where do you work at or what body shop would you prefer? You sound bitter and/or biased for some unknown reason, did you have a bad personal experience there? Give the new owner a chance to make it right if you got screwed there somehow.

I would expect that any new owner/proprietor would strive to be the best regardless of the option that they used to aquire use of the property. Brad would do the best job even if he was just working there for someone else or if he's the boss. If something would happen to somehow roll out the door and isn't right then he'll make it right. It makes no sense to me to slam someone starting a new business that will help our local economy for how they got their loan though. What do you own, how did you get the money to get it, does that mean you should get any less respect for how you got it? Let's give Brad a chance to show everyone how he can do with his own business and not throw him under the bus because of someone's isolated opinion. I (obviously) know Brad personally and I can assure you that he'll give you the best quality deal you can get in this town and he will stand behind whatever comes out of that shop from here on out.

It makes me wonder how a person starts a topic, asks a simple question, and the people on here get completly off the subject to bash someone! It asks a simple question of who they think the best painter is....how hard is that ????

Brad CAN do an awesome job and will. If I wasnt satisfied with my current shop (scotts) I would be there in a heartbeat. Brad is a gentleman and honest as the day is long.

Carl Ross at 15th and Washington painted the front end of my Mothers car and you cannot tell the difference between the new and original. She just had some oxidation on the front.
