this economy is screwed up because every citizen here had a hand in it all democrats and conservatives alike..everything in this country is supply and demand when we buy foreign products no matter what they are we are hurting our own economy
we all had a hand in how bad everything is, I know its real easy to blame Bush, but none of his policies can be enacted without the will of congress and the senate, and Oil prices and goods versus imports and exports and how much it costs to make them and ship them and yes sell them worldwide these things happen every 20 years or so
history always has a tendency to repeat itself, and if you think its bad now just wait until all the new tax increases that will pass in the next few years no matter who is sitting in the whitehouse

They told the newspaper 12 or 13 and already they have laid off 20. So yes, they are lying.

Ummm where have you been? We have had more businesses sell out to other countries since Bush came into office...at least jobs were added w/ the Clinton administration. You tend to buy more forein parts when less are made in America.

I agree, I work at Sullivan auto factory and i am watching close to the TRW layoffs. What affects one auto factory affects the rest. Are you a TRW employee?

how bad will that effect your community. What i mean is, if Allomatic did a layoff it would pretty much bring the community down.

I feel your pain. Sullivan is getting worse to. We still have a few people that care but is getting worse. There are no other real good jobs around here but allomatic. How long has TRW been there.

WOW, I tell u what that is great for a factory. allomatic has only been here for about 19 years. I hope there are no more lay offs but it doesn't look good for any of us.

Info from who? The auto industry is having issues if you are implying its not you are wrong. Ford and GM are shutting plants/lines down. TRW makes parts for several different auto companies including honda and toyota.

I am referring to what trw said about ford,gm,and chrysler being marshalls main customers.
Which thats not true i know this because i work there. Honda and Toyota are probley trw marshalls main customers followed by chrysler.
True the auto industry is slow but not over seas which we ship alot of are parts to.
So im not wrong you and other people just dont know what you are talking about.

Also to the parking down the hill....
Your right our jobs might go over seas they have had that talk at trw for as long as I have worked there and it has not happend yet but i could...
The reason we ship stuff over seas like honda and toyota is thats where the big market is like china did you no that we have a sister plant in china that also builds parts im sure you did since you know it all...And sorry if I act rude this is AMERICA get over it...
