Just saw a piece on the news that VCYFLwill no longer be allowed to play on the field at the Boys and Girls Club. What has happened to the once well managed league? My son played for five years and there were very few if any disputes. He went on to play in high school and college. He learned the basics in youth football. It is unfortunate it has come to this ugly situation. The players are the ultimate losers, even though parents are the cause of the losses. A sign of the times, I suppose---no one wants to take responsibility for THEIR behavior.

the league has lost $77,000 over the past 3 years. Yes, the Boys and Girls club has withdrawn their support. VCYFL can't use their fields or anything. There are also issues with convicted felons coaching and serving as executive board members. I can't believe that the school district lets them practice on their fields without clear criminal history checks

He can't cause of insurance reasons. EVERY coach, assistant coach, team mom and board member has to have a clean criminal history. Until the league cleans house they shouldn't be able to be on school property. Also, I don't want my kids around felons and a lot of other parents don't either!!!!

I know of 4. They are friends with the Todd Russell the president. One convicted felon is actually the vice president of the league's board

I know it's no excuse but I know of two of them that had non violent convictions and they are both good guys. They have no children that play in the league but are there for the kids.

Why doesn't anyone ask Todd Russell why he has been stealing from the league. I heard that information was presented to all board members with the financials. He has been stealing money from the league for a long time and it is time to put an end to this drama. They are a bunch of thieves!!! Let's stop stealing from the kids and just play football.

Ask Todd Russell and the Board Members why is it that James Bell can steal $300 in sponsorship money for travel team bags...Todd and other knew about it and it wasn't until another board member stood up and said this is not right that they banned him from the Board and coaching for a year. But, he was assistant coaching a 6th grade team on the Terre Haute South High School practice football fields and a South side VP, Brenda G, who is on the Board...her son was on the team...why didn't they stop him from coaching if banned for 2011-201.....
