Seismic storm continues: 7.3 El Salvador quake follows Sunday's Southland swarm

Aug 27, 2012 Full story: Examiner.com 11

What might be termed a super outbreak of minor to moderate earthquakes in Southern California Sunday once again has increased awareness and concerns regarding the so-called "Big One." Overnight, a powerful quake registering 7.3 occurring off the coast of El Salvador has many on edge following Sunday's activity in Southern California.

Siesmic Storm? WTF is that supposed to mean? Never heard that BS before..

Southern California

This swarm is centered near the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea has been linked to San Andreas quakes. The San Onofre nuclear plant has declared an "unusual event."

Not saying anything will happen but I just thought you would like to have a heads up since the mainstream media isn't reporting on this.

You'll get a sense of this unusual activity when it is mapped out. The location and number of over 3.0 quakes is what makes it unusual.

Central And South America are also experiencing quakes as well; 7.4 off El Salvador.

Notice the small earthquakes come first, then the bigger ones, then smaller. It's not like the usual big quake followed by many aftershocks. Is this all a foreshock to something else? That's the question.

There is still very little mainstream media coverage and increasing quake activity. When the media deliberately hides or downplays major stories watch out.

The epicenter is near the leaking San Onofre nuclear plant which is located right on the coastline.

This area is the most likely place for Fukashima part II.

Is our government or a foreign entity behind this? Is this the next mass government false flag/distraction?

With HAARP anything is possible.

HAARP as well as any falut line tampering must be monitored. The circumstances are very suspicious -shades of Fukashima -it stinks...

I think that people should take into consideration that this hasn't happent in 300 years its about time something big does happen. Maybe then human kind will respect nature and all that implies.... if not then I'm sure that it will only get worse

Hello Brawley from Scottsville Ky.

Earthquake follower here. HAARP Storm, the current swarm does seem quite anomalous. I noticed depths of these quakes are roughly from the surface to fifteen km., back and forth. I believe the experts may be a little stymied at current activity. Some may be thinking it's a ramp-up to a really big one.

Further study seems to imply that the current earthquake swarm is possibly related to volcanic activity.

San Onofre is about 70 miles NNW of San Diego. The swarm of earthquakes at Brawley are about 100 miles E of San Diego.

There is no connection between them.

Two of the units at San Onofre were shut down because someone somewhere put in inferior cooling pipes (and probably charged for good ones) and they were deemed unsafe at an inspection early this year.
Nothing to do with earthquakes.

True, and no said the earthquake swarm had anything to do with damaged the reactor. The problem will arise when we have a large earthquake near the damaged reactor. The unusual earthquake swarm could be a sign of a bigger quake to follow.

Hopefully nothing happens but people should be aware of the situation. No one wants the next Fukashima to occur in So Cal. We need to ask questions and not burry our heads in the sand like the Japanese did.

Certainly California is full of earthquake faults, but the known ones within 50 miles of San Onofre are all minor ones. There is no historic reference to any major quakes in the area of Onofre (which doesn't mean that there is not an unknown fault some in there).
She swarm of quakes near Brawley are more likely to let off pressure than to increase it.
I live in Northern California where the nearest town to me sits on a creeping fault. We have numerous small quakes and you can see where the fault passes through town by the offset curbs, etc. But the last large quake here was from the San Andreas fault (maybe 40 miles away) in 1906. That quake is often referred to the San Francisco quake, but the epicenter was at least 60 miles north of SF, near Ft Ross in Sonoma County. However, SF does sit on that fault, and there was mothion all up and down the fault in No Cal.
