Demand All prescription Drugs Made in USA!

How about getting all the boomer together saying we want American jobs and US government oversight for our medication...Demand we want all our medication made in the USA.

Medicines Made in India Set Off Safety Worries
NEW DELHI — India, the second-largest exporter of over-the-counter and prescription drugs to the United States, is coming under increased scrutiny by American regulators for safety lapses, falsified drug test results and selling fake medicines.
Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg, the commissioner of the United States Food and Drug Administration, arrived in India this week to express her growing unease with the safety of Indian medicines because of “recent lapses in quality at a handful of pharmaceutical firms.”

Recently I learned my medical drug was made in India. I almost fell on the ground. So I asked where else did they make this drug and if my memory serves me right was told Israel, Romania . Why was this the best kept secret. I never dreamed in a million years my med was not made in the USA.

Why should your medicine and medical devices be given preferential consideration? Get used to it; a growing proportion of your medicines (particularly generics) are going to be made in other countries. Just shut your trap and vote for those who promise to give you the most.

All your vitamins who don’t mostly work anyways are made overseas and mostly in China.

No matter who or where I get my drugs they all seem to come in a clear plastic baggie with no markings on it. How am I going to tell what country they come from. Some of them seem to smell strange or what?

This is a great idea. But how are you going to gather the boomers? Most are locked into the anti-American jobs from the Republican Party.

I'm not sure why they marked your post with that clueless bulb. I was in Canada a time back and I was surprised to find I could buy (over the counter) Tylenol w/ codeine. I want a pain reliever that works the best though I rarely take any pills. If I carried that bottle to the states I would be busted and charged as a felon.

Most anyone knows the costs of prescription drugs is outrageous here and more affordable out of the country. That is one of the reasons I believe our insurance premiums are so out of this world. They can't build pharmacies fast enough and it's just another reason our country is falling behind the more efficient and productive countries and many can not afford (insurance or not) to have the medication they need and with all the FRAUD involved .. it's disgusting.

How many welfare recipients are getting low costs drugs and then turning around and selling them $10 a piece? That is a lucrative business and now Cuomo in New York would like to give a free college education to felons. My gawd .. why try and do it right when being a criminal appears more productive to some. Sorry, I went astray a bit there, but really.

I too would like to see America contributing to America and not other countries like China and Japan and Russia? Let's take care of our own .. wouldn't that be a nice change and aren't some of us desperate for just that? Yes, many are and those that aren't standing in line waiting for that free money, but are working their ever lovens off just to survive .. disgusting is the only word I can fill that blank in with.

What can we average citizens do? Frustrated and powerless .. the majority of us are.
Sorry for long post, but I'm passionate about where our world is today, but I'm not able to do one dang thing to make much better and I've got a drunk next door abusing a brand new pet he named 'Stupid' and it's a brilliant dog and I can't even protect him just as I couldn't protect the babies that were being abused before these welfare recipients moved in. Jmo and thanks for letting me share. Good Day and Peace)

62. I remember regulated business and how drugs were not having to be advertised on TV to sell them, complete with disclaimers that this drug could cause death.

How many "welfare" recipients are abusing the program? You ask, but never inform.

Trolling, GS. What a liar you are.
