Victim Identified in Arkansas Nuclear One Accident
An accident at a nuclear facility in Arkansas killed one person Sunday, a county coroner said.
The accident took place in a non-radiation area, and there has been no risk to public health and safety identified, the Arkansas Department of Health said in a statement.

You are showing zero class here by attempting to use the AR tragedy to gain traction in your failed ideology. The specialized Crain failed while hoisting an incredibly heavy generator part killing a young worker and injuring several others...a tragic industrial accident, very sad, but not a reason to spam it as a nuclear rad incident. You are clueless!
#7 Apr 2, 2013
The posting of the tragedy in AR was only to relay that news since it hadn't been posted on the forum and this was the only nuke related thread lately, and it was done in pure journalism style without editorial comment so WTF are ewe talking about?
Included was the news quote about it occuring in a non-rad area and didn't affect the operation of the Dirty Bomb, so STFU with the insinuation that it was posted to further an agenda whatever.
The Other news further down about Fukushima was not posted to say anything regarding the crane screwup in AR but added since it's of interest to those who care about their safety and the harmful results of living in our nuclear world, like those who this thread title mentions, therefore it's also on topic here.

Cancer Pandemic - Reaping The Seeds Of Nuke Tests
The warnings about fallout from nuclear tests six decades ago often noted that cancers from the radiation would probably not begin appearing in large numbers for many years. But that time is now and medical experts are wondering whether the surge in some cancers is a result.
[the extra high cancer rates today also are the result of the cancer virus that the Polio vaccine contained (Jonas Salk screwed up)]-

Do Nuclear Power Plants Cause Cancer?
No. They dont.
Adverse health and environmental effects, if any, are so small they cant be observed, measured or determined in any way.
Not that this has stopped some people from pretending they do. The sad thing is when otherwise reputable journals and news outlets take them seriously. The latest example of this ruse is a paper by Joseph Mangano and Janette Sherman, to be published in the Biomedicine International Journal. In it, Mangano implies that closin...

Many of the protesters are trust funded and could easily pick up and move to a place that they deem "safe". What are they doing here? Why destroy what's left of our economy in this area?
#11 Apr 2, 2013
-Because once we SHUT-R-DOWN the area WILL be safer.
BTW I'm not a trustafarian and don't know any.
It doesn't make any friggin difference how one is able to make a living anyhow, what matters is being able TO LIVE.
Your industry-biased BS articles prove nothing and are based on the blatant denial of facts regarding the Mega-cancers caused by nukes going Kablooey such as the ONE MILLION cancer deaths caused by Chernobyl*, the ones caused by TMI and Sellafield etc. etc. and processing plants like Hanford which continues to be unremediated big problem as is of course the FUKUSHIMA DAIICHI Dirty Bomb complex which ewe bastards also denied would be a major killer but IS becoming one Now
Your Entergy 'experts' claimed for years that the GE Mark I design in Vernon was safe/reliable and virtually meltdown proof.
That was shown to be another damn nukescum LIE as PROVEN with THREE GE MARK I Dirty Bombs melting down in Fukushima.
Talk about "the economy in this area" being 'destroyed' if the VY Dirty Bomb gets SHUT DOWN, and that the anti-DB folks should just move elsewhere?!? Take a look at Japan's national economy- It'S Now COMPLETELY F****D!! And whatever they grow for food is radioactive even far from Fukushima.
Do Nuclear Power Plants Cause Cancer?
Yes, They Have, and continue to do so
Study: Nuclear Plant Shutdown Results in 4,319 Fewer Cancer Cases
Closing a nuclear reactor in California has prevented an estimated 4,319 cases of cancer in the past 20 years, according to a new study released Thursday.
Researchers studied the population of the state capitol of Sacramento, an area with more than 1.4 million people living within 25 miles of the Rancho Seco nuclear power plant. Using 20 years worth of data, researchers found an overall drop in the incidence of all cancers, including six of the 16 most common types. The sharpest drop came within a decade of the plant's closing in 1989. http://health.yahoo.net/articles/healthcare/s...
The economy of the Entire Country has been going down the sh'thole for decades and EWE have voted for presidents and congresscritters that have allowed the downfall of our prosperity cuz Every damn one of em all (except Ron Paul) has said/done Nothing about the continued fraud of that unlawful bankster-run non-federal central bank called The 'Federal' Reserve to debase the very currency that Used to be just & lawful prior to The Fed.
THAT and 'Free Trade' has allowed the globalist banksters to wipe out our once healthy manufacturing base and jobs.
You can't sell electricity made at ewe'r dirty bomb nukes to factories that Don't exist anymore cuz they've been shipped overseas thanks to unfair trade deals and tarrifs etc. voted for by corrupt politicos along with the very price of the unlawful 'money' being set by the "too Big to fail OR jail" banksters.
America has been Destroyed by Design, the globalist's 'New World Order' has been their agenda and ewe'all have stupidly supported the NWO cuz ewe just can't lift the veil & WTFU to break out of the Left Right Paradigm/Matrix.

Lead researcher Toshihiro Horiguchi said the disappearance of Thais clavigera was likely a result of radiation from the damaged plant

'Study: 28% Increase In Thyroid Problems In Babies Born After Fukushima in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington'
Is Fukushima Causing Health Problems In the United States?
Infants are much more vulnerable to radiation than adults.
However, radiation safety standards are set based on the assumption that everyone in the world is a healthy man in his 20s.
Now, a medical doctor (Janette D. Sherman, M. D.) and epidemiologist (Joseph Mangano) have released a study showing a 28% increase in thyroid problems in babies born in Hawaii and Americas West Coast after the Fukushima nuclear accident.
Janette Sherman, M.D. worked for the Atomic Energy Commission (forerunner of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission) at the University of California in Berkeley, and for the U.S. Navy Radiation Defense Laboratory in San Francisco. She served on the EPAs advisory board for 6 years, and has been an advisor to the National Cancer Institute on breast cancer. Dr. Sherman specializes in internal medicine and toxicology with an emphasis on chemicals and nuclear radiation.
Joseph J. Mangano is a public health administrator and researcher who has studied the connection between low-dose radiation exposure and subsequent risk of diseases such as cancer and damage to newborns. He has published numerous articles and letters in medical and other journals in addition to books, including Low Level Radiation and Immune System Disorders: An Atomic Era Legacy.
Their new study published in the Open Journal of Pediatrics is entitled Elevated airborne beta levels in Pacific/West Coast US States and trends in hypothyroidism among newborns after the Fukushima nuclear meltdown.
Scientific American does admit:
Certainly radiation from Fukushima is dangerous, and could very well lead to negative health effectseven across the Pacific.
'Report: Third of US West Coast Children Hit With Thyroid Problems Following Fukushima'
*"Even as far away as *Boston*, highly radioactive objects known as hot particles were detected by 2 out of 3 monitoring stations.
Scientists from UC Berkley detailed even more concerning reports following the disaster, finding the highest cesium content in topsoil for each California location was consistent.

Health Advocate Calls For National Regulation of Tanning Beds As Rates of Skin Cancer Rise Among Youth
Data show that the incidence of melanoma skin cancer has increased two fold in women between 15 and 39 years old in the last 30 years and yet there is no federal legislation to limit tanning and restrict use by minors who, many researchers believe, are the most vulnerable users.
