I have some very good reasons for not trusting irrational people.

It is very clear that you have little understanding of what religious intellectuals believe. You need to stop cherry picking stuff that supports your own preconceived notion of how it works and try to understand why people have been religious for centuries and how truly intellectual and intelligent (more intelligent than you) have not problem with the belief in god.

Your ignorance is impeding the acquisition of knowledge. But then you wouldn't have any fun on comment pages if you were enlightened.

How does science explain the existence of the singularity?

"According to the standard theory, our universe sprang into existence as "singularity" around 13.7 billion years ago. What is a "singularity" and where does it come from? Well, to be honest, we don't know for sure. Singularities are zones which defy our current understanding of physics. They are thought to exist at the core of "black holes." Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that finite matter is actually squished into infinite density (a mathematical concept which truly boggles the mind). These zones of infinite density are called "singularities." Our universe is thought to have begun as an infinitesimally small, infinitely hot, infinitely dense, something - a singularity. Where did it come from? We don't know. Why did it appear? We don't know."

Do you know how the universe came into existence?

Not yet, but those of us who know better than to cop out and take "god did it" for an answer will be working on it for you.

No one is saying god did it. But can that possibility be excluded from a scientific point of view? You don't know. Man doesn't know even what it doesn't know. So how can you be so sure? To be so sure requires an act of faith.
