I don't think the general public is buying into the government’s scare tactics anymore. I think most have heard “wolf” cried so often that they are finally learning to rely on their own judgment. Compound the fiscal cliff threats, the sequester threats with our own VT state government’s threats to close down a major economic engine in southeastern VT (Vermont Yankee) and it becomes clear that the real threat facing us is manipulation. It’s fairly easy to understand why screaming blue bloody murder is no longer the mantra that rules the day; people are weary of this new normal. Besides what are the Democrats really going to say with a Democrat governor, majority in the VT House, VT Senate, and a Democrat in the Oval Office and a majority in the US HOUSE? There isn’t anyone else left to blame. They don’t have George W. Bush to kick around anymore (I miss Jim Douglas). When in this country did it become more important to hold onto and office than serving while in the office?
The New Normal - no thank you.

Those that are dependent on Government are going to feel the squeeze. Those of us that get buy on our own will survive as normal. If the Government is letting down you need a new sugar daddy
