I really don't think that we are paying attention anymore to threats made by the government about spending cuts. Vermont for example just accepted a sizable healthcare reform grant even as our president releases illegal immigrants back into society.......it's all so pathetic . I say we foreclose on DC!

If you really want to help a Vet, hire a Vet. That's how America should work. If anything, this financial crises proves that we need the government to move out of the private sector's way. Come on America, get org the Governments teat!

You are right, it is morally wrong to keep spending like its Christmas in spite of our inability to pay our debt, but don’t you think that “terrorism” is a stretch? Terrorism would imply that our government is purposefully creating fear and chaos for an ulterior motive….

I love the Rosa Parks story just as much as the next great American folklore, but today while ICE was releasing illegal aliens, our President was dedicating a Rosa Parks statue.

Not "hate government". It is called participating in our government by critiquing poor politicians like Obama and the democrats. It is the essence of love for your country. People who hate our country accept bad governance or worse yet promote it. On that basis it is clear that everyone who voted for Obama hates our country.

Wrong again Mike. I love our country. We have the best government in the world but that doesn't mean it is perfect. And part of the imperfection is the ability of people to take advantage of the system. For instance we spend $50 billion on food stamps and the estimated fraud is 10%. What is wrong with us that we can't stop that fraud?

For too many it is by choice Mike. And it robs us of resources we could put to better use elsewhere.

The fraudsters get more and more clever all the time. But I am glad there is help for the 90% that do not fraud.

The ten percent is for fraud. There is another undetermined percentage that is just flat out taking advantage of a weak program. Go visit the neighborhood convenience store on the first day of the month and watch the show. Beer and cigarettes and very little in practical food purchasing. Do it. Go and see for yourself.
