Propane and Fuel oil Emergency

Years ago we had mandatory local and regional propane and fuel oil reserves. These businesses thought they could make more money by not spending money on sitting reserves. They talked or paid off the politicians to yank the government off their backs.
So this isn’t your hatting government world...artificial shortages and price spike...raising prices for no other reason than they put us in a perpetual emergency. So here we sit with natural gas pipeline capacity limitations, propane and fuel oil artificial shortage to boost prices.

Doubling the price of propane and some dealers crying traumatized with shutting off the poor and vulnerable...

The corn drying crisis and exports made this worst.

These aren’t true democrats!

We need the USA is first politicians not profits before people politicians.

This is way within a normal and expected winter climate...

LANSING, Mich.(WOOD)- Gov. Snyder’s office has provided additional information on a continuing state of emergency that was issued to try and alleviate a shortage of heating oil and propane.
The State of Energy Emergency was issued on Jan. 10.
It is connected to snow-covered roads and slick, driving conditions for truck drivers, who haul the heating oil and propane, and have experienced numerous delays, and predominantly affects remote areas of the state.

Inclement weather drastically increased the time it takes for propane to be delivered, pushing many drivers past their allotted driving hours.

That, in turn, caused shortages on the high-demand propane.

As part of the state of emergency, the governor's order suspended state and federal regulations, and lifted restrictions on the number of hours and consecutive days a driver can spend on the road.
The State of Energy Emergency will remain in effect until Jan. 31, or until it is rescinded.

In the meantime, the price of propane has skyrocketed -- up 24.8 percent from last year -- and that is just in Michigan. Many other states in and around the Midwest have similar problems.

So they are putting the burden on the truck drivers. Why doesn't the government make the companies pay double or triple time pay for the drivers who go past their regulated hours.

Right, Gov. Snyder is a teabagger government hater union, voter and vulnerable people hater.

Probably the companies don’t have enough peak use tanker trucks and drivers in order to boost profits.

Does a tea bagger government hater make shortages and price spike more probable...leverage profits!

The libtards beLIEved the AlGoreythms and Global Cooling Deniers like Bernie Sanders who compared those who he called "Global Warming deniers" to Nazi Germany era holocaust deniers. His run for prez will be stuck in ice just like those AGW-promoting 'scientists' on the boat who found themselves stuck in ice that the AlGoreythms said previously would Not be there-HA!
So since libtwits bought the nonsense that winters were going to be warm and even disappear, they didn't buy propane etc. when it was cheap, therefore they suffer now.
F*** Them- I laugh at their frozen dead commie carcasses!

The country exported an estimated 4.3 billon gallons of propane last year, compared to 800 million gallons in 2008.

USA first philosophy...

So Mandatory price controls on propane and fuel oil...roll the price back to pre-crisis levels for domestic uses.

Put a stop on all exports...

See, we just have a different country than we had fifty years ago! Then we look at our collective welfare...used the power of government to protect us...today we only look profits of the powerful.

“There’s people out there who are buying at $1.79 and have no idea that’s an issue,” Mr. Foster said.“They may get a little sticker shock when their gallons run out.”

Basically the NYTs is just getting pro propane industry comments. Where is the object voice with the facts? Where is our government!

If you look to the rising prices in the fuel oil industry a few years back...these propane dealers will quickly go belly up paying for propane that is twice as expensive as the guaranteed price.

They will leave many people out in the cold when they go belly up!

A lot of people are going to lose their pre-paid $500 or $1000 bucks.

A lot of propane dealers now know they are a walking dead man!

The shortage doesn't make sense...

NYT: The meteorologists Brandt Maxwell, of the National Weather Service in San Diego, and Robert Henson, of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., have been doing some comparisons.

In the winter of 1976-77, they point out, the temperature in Chicago stayed below freezing for 43 days straight, and in 1985 the city had a below-freezing stretch of 40 days. The longest stretch so far this winter was 11 days. Similarly, New York’s longest stretch below freezing this year has been six days, less than half as long as the freezing periods in the 1970s.
