Well thank God if it IS for the children, that is the one reason I agree with raising taxes.....but I don't believe you Governor Shumlin, I don't think it's about the welfare of our children at all! I think government use children as a smoke screen.

1 Old people are still in denial their ponzi scheme economy for over 30 years is about to implode. Vermont needs to lower it's cost of living big time by starting with cutting school spending in half and overhauling the zoning laws to drive down the cost of housing and dump act 250. |

1 where in the constitution does it give the states the right to put people in school prisons who are under 18 years old who haven't done a thing besides live in the state ? There are plenty who do that and I know some who do and their children are smarter than average as evidenced in testings and the fact that National Spelling and Geometry Bees etc. tend to be won OFTEN by home schooled ones. The parents who do homeschool or use private schooling are forced to pay the local school tax even tho their children don't go to the govt. schools- THAT's something We the People ought to fight, and we'd be able to shoot it down completely if EVERYONE took their kids out of the G-d Public Fool System BTW, neither the federal Constitution nor any State Constitution grants any Rights!
