I agree that tudents whith learning and or physical differences must have an above average work ethics in order to navigate and be sucessful at public education. The system teaches to the typical.

Kids with handicaps donít have to grow up to be truck drivers, strippers and on welfare just because you donít want them to have a decent education. We used to think like you do but we know better now.

http://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/netcomp.cgi...

There is only 70 million jobs that pay over $30,000 a year so less than 1 in 3 working age adults has a job that pays over $30,000 and many of those jobs don't require a college degree including truck driver.

There is only 40 million jobs that pay over $50,000 so not even 1 out 5 working age adults has a job that pays over $50,000 and lots of those jobs are blue collar, truck driver, auto workers, construction worker, utility workers, etc.

"Today, there are approximately 80 million Millennials in the U.S."
AKA Generation Y

There are 80 million jobs that pay $25,000 or more so if every young person managed to get one of them nobody else would have a job paying $25,000 or more, not one baby boomer, not one Gen-X'er.

The education pimps have a vested interest in selling degree's, they make their money that way and tons of young people are becoming nothing more than debt slaves buying job lottery tickets because on top of the limited chances of finding a good job, the hiring system is full of nepotism.

The professional educators will be retired living the good life sucking money out of places like Vermont for decades to come and suckers are still cheering on getting hosed by the education pimps selling crap for top dollar.

10 million jobs pay $75,000 or more so 1 out of 10 adults has a actual good paying job that would net about $50,000 if they where married with 2 kids after they paid social security taxes, medicare taxes, state and federal income taxes and property taxes.

About $1,000 a week after taxes doesn't go far when somebody is married with 2 kids and has a mortgage, 2 cars, food to buy, utility bills to pay, clothing.

There is over 20 million people in college right now and 40 million jobs that pay $50,000 or more and lots of those jobs are blue collar. The majority of the people with those $40k plus jobs aren't going to give them up anytime soon and the few that do will be replaced by lower paid new hires.

All the emotional hysteria and education worshipping in the world isn't going to over ride the statistics and odds.

$12,000 a year for a k-12 education=$156,000, another $100,000 for 4 years of college adds up to about a 1/4 million dollars to get a job lottery ticket.

There is no way we will even compete in the global economy spending that kind of money on education when the majority of it is a waste considering the actual jobs available in the labor market. Maybe 1 in 10 adults have jobs that require advanced education, the majority of jobs a 6th grade dropout could do.

Not even half the working age adults have a full time job.

The education worshippers are like a crazy cult. Sure it pays off for actual smart people, but for the Forrest Gumps and Kelly Bundy's of the world you have got to be a nutcase to think they will ever even be in the running for a top paying job.

Of the 10 million $75k plus jobs tons of them where created by the government so that adds to the snow job. Those governent sloths would never make the same money they do in the real world. The goverment has created the illusion education pays off for some people by paying it's own bloated labor force tons of money so the working class pays twice, they get hosed funding the schools and than get hosed paying the government workers way too much for their jobs and also tons of the $75k and over jobs are in the universities so the working class gets hosed funding those also.

After getting hosed left and right people can't figure out why there is no good jobs in the country, they country priced itself out of business wasting money.

"10 million jobs pay $75,000 or more so 1 out of 10 adults has a actual good paying job"

I screwed that up

less than 1 out of 20

it's 1 out of 10 full time jobs

good luck to people who think their average or below average kid can even have a chance. Money doesn't buy everything. That seems to be an abstraction to spoiled idiots who throw tantrums their trophy child is entitled to nothing but the best and is M.I.T. material.

It's not your job or a school systems job to limit other people's potential, you don't get to play God. That's why the track system was abandoned bro.

It's not the governments job to steal from some people to provide for other people which amounts to limiting other peoples potential.
Who are they to play God with what I worked for or anyone else worked for? I would call it stealing.

There is a huge difference between chipping in for the greater good and watching money extorted from us being pissed away. The education industry is 80% waste and theft, criminals at work stealing other peoples money limiting their potential to have a decent life while destroying jobs.

Because of the massive waste and theft the whole country is going down the drain. It seems to be an abstraction to emotional basket cases like you or you are one of the angry full of hate people who cheer on everything that makes things worse because you hate people and want to see mass suffering so come up with all sort of double talk and spin.

I have a hobby, it's called not being a target myself but I do feel bad for the young people being robbed blind by criminals hiding behind children. The funny part is the children everything is supposed to be for will one day become the targets of the education mafia and stupid people don't get that. How's Gen-Y doing in the labor market, for decades everything was for the children and now most of them are young adults and screwed job wise and stuck with a massive bill not just for their student loans, also the nations massive debt at the federal, state and local level, everything was for the children. The ME Generation totally screwed Gen-Y.

I'm sure in your mind you believe you had potential, but reality is you don't even seem to have a job even after going to college so it must be everyone elses fault and you believe you are too good to bag groceries after your mommy told you that you where special.

I accepted my ability and dealt with what life handed me instead of being miserable. You are probably a broad that suffers from the princess syndrome and grew up envying some movie star or something and have the boohoo, poor little old me mentality.

One of these kids you hate on so much is going to fix this mess of a planet precisely BECAUSE they learn and think differently than all of the sour old men who built this impending train wreck! We can see a hundred miles out whatís coming BUT itís codgers like you who keep trying to load all the kids on the train cause it was good-enuf for you. We donít educate children to live in our world; we educate them to create and live in the future. If you think Iím wrong, just try and explain a mimeograph machine to a ten year old and they would laugh at you.

Create a huge jobs program with good income and benefits to sop all the non workers and workers with poor jobs...create a employee shortage causing a boost in income to everyone...

That would get most off welfare...

You are a dreamer. Nothing wrong with being a dreamer as long as you never get to be in charge.

People are the same no matter how the technology changes. Those "sour old men" are just wiser than you if you think that somehow things are going to change that much. People are people and have been for the last 30,000 years.

the dummy cries it's for the children and drives a fuel hog throwback to the 1960's car stealing from the childrens future by wasting a limited resource.

The woman is living proof there is no reasoning with emotional basket cases. She is just a big spoiled brat like lots of people in this country today. She is demanding the public provide for her child while pissing money away on a car and fuel for it, plus the insurance while having the means to look out for her own child and the kids future by setting up a trust fund so a little additional yearly income on top of a McJob makes the kids life just fine. The spoiled brat is mad at the world she doesn't have a gifted child, she is entitled to it all.

The freedom to knock down skyscrapers in NYC with planes.

The freedom to kill innocent kids willy nilly in a classroom.

The freedom to plant bombs in the Boston Marathon...

The freedom of anarchy with the crazy libertarians and teabaggers...

The freedom to destroy government by any means possible...
