We won't get good income manufacturing back until they stop throwing all their energy into the "arts" economy and start making real overtures to manufacturing like they do in the successful states. Do you really think that is ever going to happen with the end of the roader population that has moved here?
The boomers are having a going out of business sale.
It was never for the children the last few decades, it was all about mommies bragging rights and her pissing her panties when her golden child got a trophy or degree in anything.

"The single greatest way to reduce inequality would be to radically lower the cost of basic living to where it was affordable to even those of low income. This idea remains the focus of much of my work: radically reducing the cost-basis of a high-quality, low-energy-consumption life."

The concept is an abstraction to The ME Generation that has run a Ponzi scheme growth based economy just like their parents did.

The yuppie economy is 80% waste, housing, transportation, education, health care, criminal justice and on it goes all full of waste. Quality of life in a rat race, little so the end of roaders head to the back woods and try to create some 1950's Theme Park here in Vermont thinking life will just be wonderful if they turn the state into a 1950's TV sitcom. Lala land is where they are from, too much drug use in the 60's.

Typical boomer mentality, got a problem, throw money at it. Boomer economics has failed, time for the old people to go play bingo and let the middle aged people who actually grew up and became adults take over and clean up the mess the selfish spoiled ME Generation made.

where did I say that ?

Your reply is why you OLD people need to step aside and let younger people handle it because all you have is some snippy come back instead of asking what somebody is getting at ? You people have no respect for anyone younger than you and if somebody see's a problem with your generations simpleton thinking it's slam away because you people are bullies and also have no clue about economics as is evident by the economy you people created which has totally failed.

You bridge temper tantrum was typical of your generation, throw a tantrum and demand.

Former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova, who now represents one of the Benghazi whistleblowers, told a Washington radio station Monday that the real scandal in Benghazi is the theft of 400 surface-to-air missiles by some "very ugly people."

"We had troops ready to deploy in Croatia to go (to Benghazi) that night of Sept. 11, 2012 to rescue Americans. We have learned that one of the reasons the administration is so deeply concerned -- we have been told there were 400 surface-to-air missiles stolen, and that they are on or about in the hands of many people, and that the biggest fear in the U.S. intelligence community is that one of these missiles will be used to shoot down an airliner."

There hasn't been a "tremendous decline in middle class....income level since 1969". What are the stats you have that say there has been. I remember 1969 very well. One car. One TV with 5 stations. No dinners out at restaurants. One telephone which sat on the living room table.

If people lived with the same requirements they had in 1969 the would be rich.
