Of course I don't agree with you. That's has to be one of the worst summaries I've seen posted here and that saying a lot.
Solar has subsidies, nuclear has subsidies, coal has subsidies, oil has subsidies, corn has subsidies, and so on and so on.
The gov't has always used tax policy along with incentives, subsidies, etc. to help and promote industries and/or behaviors. Why do you hate solar so much more than the others?
I noticed you still haven't provided any supporting analysis. I have a feeling you never will.
Big big difference between loans and grants, loans are paid back with interest but grants are collecting taxes in attempt to manipulate for an agenda .

Government sponsored research is for those that are financially solvent. We have no business providing grants using borrowed money. Eliminate grants and replace them with loans.

Why are you in such a hurry to change the subject? Trying to deflect the thread away from your ignorance?

BTW, I called my insurance agent and asked how a $30,000 dollar solar system would affect my homeowner's insurance premiums and the answer was; not at all. Looks like another one of your lies shot down.

Granted, I don't know how putting a solar array that's worth as much as your trailer would affect your premiums but that's why each person should evaluate their own situation. Or in your case, have someone who knows more than you do it for you.

You are the one who shot his mouth off about the DIY solar system that you can't analyze. I thought maybe since you shot your mouth off about socialism you might be willing to contribute your vast knowledge of the subject to educate us all.

Where is your post about what socialism is?

"I called my insurance agent and asked how a $30,000 dollar solar system would affect my homeowner's insurance premiums and the answer was; not at all."

Two things; first, 16 year old high school kids like you don't have insurance agents and, second, there is no way in hell that any insurance agent would tell you that it won't affect your premium unless your premium was already too high. Want to try another subject to lie about.

Let me refresh your memory.

You stated;

"It would take much more than $30k to save $100 a month. The last calcualtion I saw said it would take 22 years to get your money back and then the equipment would all have to be replaced and you would start all over."

This is wrong on many fronts and I simply pointed out that what you could buy for ~$30,000. If you installed it yourself and waived all credits/incentives/etc, you would offset ~$250 month of electricity (assuming you actually used that much.) No additional analysis needed to show that you are a liar.

If you had a system professionally installed and took advantage of all the credits/incentives/etc., you could get a $45-50,000 system which would end up costing you ~$30,000 and be ~11kW. This would offset ~$175 month. Once again you are shown to be a liar.

Your initial assertions are always vague enough to leave you plenty of room to move the goalposts and set your transparent (no VT incentive for DIY), ignorant (you being too stupid to realize solar is exempt from property/sales tax), or plain pathetic (lol insurance costs) "traps" for me to nimbly avoid.

I've been waiting for any sort of even rudimentary analysis of your positions and all I get is laughable teabagger talking points about how "Vermonters should be willing to stand on their own two feet or not do it." I'm still waiting.

I just correctly pointed out that you ignorant teabaggers have no idea what socialism is based on your comments here.

Feel free to attempt to prove me wrong.

I gave you all the other questions to ask but you didn't respond. Since you are now an expert in the IRC why don't you tell us about the tax credit for solar. Who can get it and how do they get it? Let's just limit your answer to the average homeowner.
Back in the thread it belongs.

Why is it every time you call out on your lies, you just change the discussion and ask me a question instead?

Why don't you try to educate me before I grow up into a liberal for good. Maybe this is still hope for me if you could only have a civil discussion and attempt to educate rather than insult.

Just playing your game. If you are intelligent you will eventually be a conservative. If you aren't then you will spend your life being angry. It is not my job to save you. You have to save yourself.

Reading your posts doesn't give me much hope that you will become a conservative.

That's all you can find? ha!

Yes "assuming you used that much... But a typical residence uses half of that. And assuming you can use the tax credits. Of course you have to have tax liability to use the tax credits. How much would your income have to be to take advantage of the tax credits?

So what is your rate of return? Let's see?$175/mo (assuming you actually use that much electicity) would amortize $30k over what time period? At what rate of interest? Maintenance? Insurance? Etc. complete the analysis pop shooter.

Play back my comments on socialism. It is fun thinking of you spending all the time to go back through all the comments to find something. You have fun.
