Since Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is one of two Medicare dependent hospitals, and is also one of the state's three low-volume hospitals, this is a good thing. One must consider, however, that Representative Welch has also been instrumental in the loss of half of the $65 million payroll for people that use the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (those who work at Vermont Yankee) to vanish within the year. What do you suppose the hospital will need to offset the loss of these PAYING customers?

Your rebuff is worthless if you think the economic costs of the political and legal persecution had nothing to do with VY shutting down.

But of course that's not what I said, is it?

Please lay out your argument that Rep. Welch was "instrumental" in the decision to shut down VY.

I'll be waiting.

Isn't Brattleboro Memorial Hospital basically a Helipad to fly patients to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center?

Those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS can get FREE rent and living paid for by the govt.! There are MANY with AIDS who are on 'Di$ability' even tho they are quite healthy enough to work and Manyof them do so under the table, income they of course don't report cuz then they'd lose the Disability $$ that they fraudulently acquire in the first place!
