VY Federal Court Case

I think the antis corrupted themselves by attaching their buggy to a politician names Shumlin and to the state in general...

You were played by the politicians...just shut up and play nice cause the big dogs will take care of it.

The solution is to be smart about the nuclear power and the NRC....play them.

You can’t be a stupid anti whining about the potential deaths of millions of Americans from radiation...

So the legislators weren’t disciplined in talking about nuclear safety when voting on shutting down Vermont...if they just stuck with shutting them down on the lack of Entergy’s credibility the plant would have already been shut down.

You just cannot trust an angry mob to act judiciously. If some group whips them into another frenzy they will make the same mistake again.

They (Vermont and the anti nukes) lost their battle and the natural gas glut is going to win us the war...

I can’t help but think the pro nukers couldn’t be happier having their competitors being the Shumlin administration and the current antinuke leadership....

They must be thanking their lucky stars every night before they get into bed....

It has been this way ever since the plant first opened...

Except that the "lack of credibility" argument was also just politicians twisting the words of a technocrat for attempted political advantage. No one except the left wingers (the choir)ever thought that VY had a "lack of credibility".

Remember, the NRC is Obama’s NRC. He hired them all with the veto power of the mad dog conservative republicans. These people are doing exactly what he wants. It is a fact he hired these people because he feared the power of the electric utilities.

He is a object failure of this administration in that he doesn’t allow us to see the real picture of what is going on at Vermont Yankee or any other plant in the USA...

And most of all, the cause of this is us. It is all the good people who don’t vote and who get wrapped up in this ideological wars.

We get the government and the VY outcome we deserve...

I think now that the truth of the testimony and how it was manipulated by the democrats is out, you will find that Douglas would retract what he said.

The democrats purposely misrepresented what the words of a VY official with respect to whether there were "underground" pipes at VY. He said there were no "underground" pipes meaning no buried pipes in the sense that the pipes at VY were like those pipes in the cellar of a house which are not "buried" and not like the pipes running from your well to your house and just buried in the ground. When the democrats later found that their were pipes in cellar like vaults they screamed bloody murder about being lied to when they weren't lied to at all. They manipulated the entire scenario for political affect with quotes popping up everywhere about how VY was untrustworthy and couldn't be believed when in fact the only breach of trust between the parties was what the Vermont Senate did to VY by changing the rules on getting repermitted by adding that the Senate had control over it and not the PSB. That is total manipulation.

What you have written is exactly the truth, but Voters don't want to know the truth they want the fairy tail. It's why President Obama got reflected and why Shumlin who has proven time and time again that he has no integrity, gets away with his ludicrous statements against Vermont Yankee. It's like paying the price of a lottery ticket just so you can escape reality for a few hours.

Of course, we aren’t facing in the near term the shutdown of Vermont Yankee, we are facing the devastation of our large nuclear utilities with these guys losing enormous value over the none competitiveness of their nuclear plants.

We have no natural gas plants here and a lot of wire between here and there.
